Ore She graduated from Southern Oregon Normal School in 1935 and Southern Oregon College in 196) She received her master’ « degree in education in 196*1 from Oregon State U niversity She also did graduate and post graduate studies a( Eastern Oregon State College, at the l nicer city o f Texas and Savannah State College in Georgia She began her teaching career in 1935 at age 19 at Camas V alley, Ore . and completed her career as a first grade teacher in Heppner in I97X On Dec 22. 1*440 she married Ed D ick at Ashland She taught one year at lone and was acting principal there in 1942 She started the first flow er »hop n Heppner anil a ls o drove truck lor het husband s o il distributing company She was an avid photographer, painter and journalist and loved the outdoors She was a me mix* i o f the < )regon H istorical S ix ic ty , the Heppner M ethodist C hurch and a past member o f IX-lta Kappa Gamma.
