Morrow County officials jnd the Budget Committee met in a workshop session during County Court meetings last week to assess the rejection of the levy Department heads and agencies tunded by the County were also pre vent at these sessions The conclusions reached from these meetings led the Court to make program and personnel cuts that would insure a significant impact on the budget Areas impacted reduce Courthouse em ployees. FRED l.UNDIN: "A s you know, the Extension Service is the com municator between Oregon State University, and the citizens of Mor row County A larger portion of our budget is dedicated to communica tion by mail In fact, about $2.200 is budgeted for letters, news letters, and other mailings Wc have had in creases in 3rd class postage by 25% dm past year This increase in postage plus, the cut in the budget, will mean that wc will not he sen ding out our compost! news letter (his spring, nor will we he doing nearly as many other mailings There will be cuts In other pro grams as we continue to assess the impact of the budget c u t."
