O cto brr 7, IW 7 ífcÉf S heriff’s Report The Official Newspaper of ihe City of Heppner and the County of Morrow * «- The Morrow County Sheriffs O f fice at the Courthouse in Heppner reports handling or dispatching the following business during the past week: September 28 a deputy respond ed to an animal problem in the lr- rigon area September 28: a deputy respond cd to a Boardman area to investigate complaint of damaged personal property September 29: a deputy in vestigated theft of $1700 worth of fishing equipment from the Irrigon area September 29: the sheriff * office dispatched (he Heppner ambulance lo the area of Pettyjohn Builders Supply for a female who had fallen September 29: the sheriff s office dispatched the Heppner ambulance to the lone football field One male was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner September 29 the sheriff s office assisted Oregon Stale Police with a truck accident at (he function of Hwy 730 and I 84 The sheriffs of fice dispatched the fire department to wash down a diesel spill caused by the accident. September 30 a deputy arrested Barbara Dnnsc Villarreal. 42. Ir rigon. on Morrow County Circuit Court warrants for Pmsession of a Controlled Substance and Delivery of a Controlled Substance She was lodged at Benton County Jail October I : the sheriff s office dispatched the boardman Fire Dept lo a brush fire on I 84 at milepost 163 near the Boardman rest area October I : the sheriff s office disputehed the Boardman ambulance to l.amb Weston One male was transported to Good Shepherd Com munity Hospital in Hcrmiston (X lobcr I : a deputy investigated a theft of equipment at Boardman Farms. Oct I God knows you didn’t even have the decency to move it out of the mad or at least tell the owner Rut then, I do forget him how sick Many enjoy garden club’s efforts .4 • I T o the Editor: Most people who have been to downtown Heppner have noticed the flower boxes along Main Sired Many have enjoyed Ihe efforts of a few dedicated members of our corn munity The Heppner Garden Club spent many volunteer hours keeping the flower boxes attractive I asi year, small evergreen trees were planted which have been maintain cd There were flowering bulbs in ihe spring and annuals all summer that continue lo bloom into fall The garden club membershave planted, fertilized and hauled water to the flower boxes, (hiring the hoi lest part of the summer, they were watered almost daily, luist week when ihe Heppner Garden Club hosted the regional meeting. Special projects that have been active are (he Ccninly Hospital parking lot.
