Heppner. for allegedly Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants She was released on her own recognizance In a second August 8 incident, the Morrow County Sheriff 's Office cited William Patrick Meier. 21. lrngon. for allegedly Driving While Sus pended On August 9. a Heppner ambu lance transported an unknown female to Pendleton Also on August 9. the Boardman Fire Dept and the Boardman Police Dept responded to a hay truck on fire on Main Street On August 10. the Heppner Fire Dept responded to a grass fire on Highway 74 at milepost 41 Also on August 10. the Boardman Police Department arrested Royce M ila u g h e y . 26. August 9. 1985 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital Horn Sept 20 1907. at Eightmile he was the son of Ralph and Daisy McFerrin Becket Hr was a lifetime resident of this area except during World War II. when he worked elsewhere in shipyards For many years he operated a machine shop in Heppner On April 15. 1935. he married Ruby Thornburg in Walla Walla Becket was a member of the Heppner Masonic laalge for many years serving several times as Worthy Patron of the Order of Eastern Star He has serv ed as a member of the Morrow County School Board, as vice president of the Morrow County Historical Society which he helped organize, as chairman of a M C H S committee to locate and mark graves of early residenls, and helped to form the Masonic Cemetery In Heppner Survivors include his wife, Ruby Becket at the home daughters Sharon Burkenbine of Wilkesboro, S C , and Carol Patrick of Terre bonne, Ore . brothers Merle of Cottage G rove, and John of M ilw au kie. and several grand children Funeral services were held Sunday.
