We are residents of a city being
run by a religious group and are
under constanl harassment by the

Kajneesh
Security
from
Kajneeshpuram
We are watched
where ever we go. even If we Just
take a walk they follow us in their
vehicles
We asked Kajneesh Police Force
to stop the Kajneesh Investment
Corporation from making so much
dust on the hill above our home, and
they said they were not going to do
anything about it and left We must
call Ihr Oregon State Police for
protection
If one is a Kajneesh. the police
force is helpful, protective and
concerned
conversely, when a
NON Kajneesh told one of the
Kajneesh to pul their garbage where
it belonged they were arretted and
hauled 75 miles (o The Dalles jail
When incidents such as these
occur in a democratic country,
someling must be done in order to
preserve our freedom We have a

is organizing a petition drive to
disincorporate the City of Rajneesh
• formerly Antelope!
A 20 person advisory board makes
up Hie Committee, consisting of
residents, properly owners, former
Antelope Council members and con
errned citizens throughout the slate
Tlie petition would place an issue
on the stale ballot to repeal the
Kajneesh's City Charter and
barn or exhibit as I teach a Sunday
School class and I help with Sunday
services at Nursing Home

ambulance transported a subject to
Good Shepherd Community Hospital
in Hermiston
In a third August 6 incident, a
Heppner ambulance responded to a
residence in Heppner and trans
ported a male with an illness to
Pioneer Memorial Hospital
On August 7. the Boardman Police
Department responded to a report of
a hit and run accident which occur

On August 8. the Heppner Police
Dept arrested Phoebe Sandra
Russell. 32. Heppner. for allegedly
Driving Under the Influence of
Intoxicants
She was released on
her own recognizance
In a second August 8 incident, the

he was the son of Ralph and Daisy
McFerrin Becket Hr was a lifetime
resident of this area except during
World War II. when he worked
elsewhere in shipyards
For many years he operated a
machine shop in Heppner
On April 15. 1935. he married Ruby
Thornburg in Walla Walla
Becket was a member of the
Heppner Masonic laalge for many
years serving several times as
Worthy Patron of the Order of
Eastern Star
He has serv ed as a member of the
Morrow County School Board, as
vice president of the Morrow County
Historical Society which he helped
organize, as chairman of a M C H S
committee to locate and mark
graves of early residenls, and
helped to form the Masonic
Cemetery In Heppner
Survivors include his wife, Ruby
Becket at the home daughters
Sharon Burkenbine of Wilkesboro,
S C , and Carol Patrick of Terre
bonne, Ore . brothers Merle of
Cottage G rove, and John of
M ilw au kie. and several grand
children
Funeral services were held
Sunday. Aug 11 at the Heppner
Masonic Ixidge. with concluding
service and interm ent at the
Masonic Cemetery

worked for the Kmzua Corporation
as a watchman and fireman
For the last 10 years, he and his
wife spent the winters in Arizona
Surviving are his wife, Floy
