Outfit should be displayed on hanger with accessories attached. Attach information to exhibit including name, address, age, event for which outfit will be worn, (cost of outfit and accessories optional). Outfit will be judged on member, and member may model outfit in public style revue. SCORING: 1. The participant's posture, poise, grooming, attitude 30 2. The outfit on the member 70 Creativity and style of total outfit Becoming, choice of texture, color and style Fit neck, shoulders, sleeves, waist, sice seams, hemline and grainline in total garments Appropriate for age and occasion for which it will be worn Accessories appropriate for member and occasion TOTAL 100 DIVISON 9 4-H LIVESTOCK . Jrd-tS.M Individual: IsMS.M, 2nd H QS, 3rd-3.M. 4th-t2.SC, SuVfl.M CLASS 1 Large Animals Each contestant shall judge at least two classes each of the following : beef, sheep and swine, and submit written reasons and oral reasons. Reasons class to be designated by the official judge. CLASS 2 Small Animals Each contestant shall judge at least one fryer cImbs, one part of animal identification, one breed identification, one pelt class, and submit oral and written reasons. Reasons class to be designated by the official judge. RULES: Open to all 4-H members. 4-H members must allow their animals to be used in the contest if asked by county extension agent, FFA advisor, or superintendent. Teams to be made up of any three members from the same club. DIVISON 10 4-H PIG SCRAMBLE RULES: Special application form required. Extra forms available at Extension Office. To be eligible to participate, you must be a currently enrolled 4-H member, complete the special application form, and be willing to abide by the rules of this contest and have not previously caught a pig. Successful participants will capture a gilt that they subsequently own. They agree to raise the gilt as a 4-H project and to provide a gilt for the succeeding year's fair that weighs at least 60 pounds. DEPT. II. LIVESTOCK Animals must be preregistered by July 27 at County Extension Office. All livestock must be entered on the fairgrounds by 10 a.m., Monday, August 13. Market animals must be weighed between 8 and 9:30 a m. (See the market sale section for shrink rules). A TRANSPORTATION CERTIFICATE must be turned in at the time of weighing steers, to show ownership and brand. (THE BILL OF SALE ON THE BACK SIDE MUST BE COMPLETED TO SHOW TRANSFER FROM ORIGINAL OWNER.) Livestock premium checks will not be released until pens are cleaned. Animals must appear in the show ring to be judged. Exhibitors must be able to show and handle their own animals. While ribbon market animals are not eligible for the sale. Market Steers must be polled or dehorned. ANIMALS AND STALLS MUST BE PRESENTABLE AT ALL TIMES. Manure and waste to be piled as instructed in the general rules in the front of this book by I a.m. each morning. Premium money may be withheld if animals are unmanageable, not groomed or if stalls are didrty. Beef animals must be double tied halter and neckrope or chain. Animals over maximum weight are not eligible for grand champion or reserve grand champion. Short scrotum (induced or other cryptorchids) are not eligible to show. Thomas F.
