"There Is a large assort ment of fruit trees scattered about the yard not only attractive, but productive." she added. Along the feme line there are numerous beau tiful roses - offering a spec trum of color. There are va rious shrubs planted around the base of the house, but now the eye is attracted to a generous planting of petunias, geraniums and bright red salvia. Upon close scrutiny, one can find a tomato plant or two in the midst of this plant ine. The spacious lawn all around the home serves as a carpet for the generous dis play of blooms, even as we are in the fall of the year, the club member reported The Ekstroms have lived in their home since 1973 when they sold their Polled Here ford Ranch just north of town and became citv dwellers. Tulips, however, are different. Some may bloom a long time and others decline rapidly each year, After blooming, cut off any seed pod and allow the greens to completely die before re moving them from the bulb, When the leaves become limp, they may be braided or knot ted together and tucked un derneath annuals that are starting to grow. After the leaves are completely dead, they may be removed from the bed, or the bulbs may be dug and stored in a cool, dark and dry place 650 1 4f bly Seoled ter Loss feeds Water plication ems hs.
