First of all, Junior Varsity Coach, David Simc honored all of his players with certifi cates of a job well done. Those players were: Mike Douglas, Donnie Doherty. Rod Taylor, Jeff Ball, Steve Millman and Paula Anderson. Si me also reviewed the season record and highlighted a few bright spots of the 1982-8.1 season. Varsity Coach Del LaRue, presented certificates to all the Varsity players who parti clpatedf in the season's play. Donnie Tay lor, Roger Morter. Denny Starr, and Craig Gutierrez. LaRue also had a few special awards of his pwn to offer. The award for most rebounds went to Tim Patton and the award for the most assists went to Denny Starr. The players also received individual plaques that listed each of their individual statis tics and stickers for special achievements the plaques also Rive the season record at the bottom. lone had one All Conference player picked by the coaches of the Big Sky Conference and Tim Patton received this award. The players and their fami lies enjoyed the nice dessert and many viewed video films of two of Ione's basketball games. Tuesday, Mar. 29 - wiener wraps and sauerkraut, but tered vegetables, dessert and milk. Wednesday, Mar. 30 hot turkey sandwiches with gravy, cranberry sauce, mixed vegetables, fruit and milk. The Morrow County Sher iff's Department office at the Morrow County Courthouse in Heppner handled !he following calls, cases and reports during the past week: On March 8. the Heppner Fire Department responded to a fire at 340 W. Union Ave. in Heppner. The house is owned by Sara Adkins of Heppner and had just been rented to the Steve Ford family. Damage was estimated at $4,000. On March 10, s Boardman ambulance responded to a call at U & I. Ind., Boardman, for a woman who had reportedly injured an arm. She was transported to Consolidated Good Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston. On March 11. Miracle Pota to. Co.. Boardman reported the theft of hay. Its value is unknown. On March 12, the Boardman Fire Department responded to a fire in a dumpster that was next to a propane tank at U & I. Inc., Boardman. Also on March 12, a Board man ambulance transported a man with a possible broken hip to Consolidated Good Shepherd Hospital from Hab dock Apartments, Board man. On March 13, Jake Malm berg of Saber Storage No. 3 reported that a travel trailer had been broken into but nothing was taken. A Morrow County sheriff's deputy took the report. Also on March 12, a Board man ambulance responded to a call at U & I, Inc., Board man. A woman reported to have chlorine in her eyes was transported to Consolidated Good Shepherd Hospital, Hermiston. In a third March 13 incident, a stolen bike owned by Joleen Linder of Irrigon was recov ered. In a fourth March 13 inci dent, a Morrow County sher iff's deputy responded to a call concerning a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 84 near Junction 730. A parked vehicle was reportedly hit by another vehicle. No one was injured. The Heppner Gazette-Times.
