sajOOOOQOQOOOOOOOOOOOOOQOQQQ A A J O HOW TO BE A GOOD COOKl Child-Pleasing Lunch For Children To Makt Even a preschooler can help in the creation of this "for-kids-only" lunch. Most child experts agree that even preschoolers can be involved in meal prepara tion. For example, with adult supervision, youngsters can cut up vegetables. Posi tion the object to be cut on a flat, stable surface. If nec essary, cut potatoes and car rots in half so they are flat and easier for a small tyke to cut. It seems that chil dren who have a hand in preparing meals usually eat what they have cooked, even vegetables. Here's an easy lunch for a small fry to help fix. Un der adult supervision, let the child stir a can of Franco American SpaghettiOs in a saucepan. Then let bJm or her "decorate" the bowl with cucumber pinwheela or cheese and pickle butter flies. To make the butter flies, cut slices of mild processed cheese into tri angles; arrange on pasta with points touching. Sweet gherkins foim the body. For the cucumber pin wheels, cut 3 cucumber slices in half " and arrange 6 halves pin wheel fashion on top of SpaghettiOs. A carrot slice forms the center of the flower. These fun lunches for kids are not only easy to make, but they are health- ful as well. Many experts agree that a few, simple, inexpensive tools are all that's necessary for most fix-it jobs around the house. Many such tools and gad gets today wear "more than one hat" and are useful for a variety of tasks. One new gadget that's winning raves from many handy home owners is called the Widget. It's a scraper-cutter with a single-edge, stainless steel blade in a tough plastic holder. It has hundreds of uses such as scraping paint from windows, opening car tons, trimming threads and fabrics, cutting wallpaper and even tending plants. .
