Sparetimer September 21 Won Lost lone News On Sunday. Sept. 26. Art and Irene Dalzell were honored at ia lovely 50th wedding anni versary celebration at the United Church of Christ in Condon. The tables were beautifully decorated in white and gold. Each guest was given a clever "thank you for sharing the day" scroll and pen with Art's and Irene's names on them. Traveling from lone on the senior citizen bus were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Halvorsen, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Matthews, Flossie Marick, Norma Rea, 'Geneva Palmer. Ruth McCabe and Anna Ball, others motoring over for the day were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Crawford and Mr. and Mrs. Berl Akers. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Palmer and Geneva Palmer attended the Central Washington Fair in Yakima, Washington on Sunday. Vera Rietmann is a patient at Consolidated Good Shep herd Hospital in Hermiston where she recently underwent major surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nelson are at home after a short trip to Idaho where they visited friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Nelsona and son spent the weekend in Corvallis where they attended the reunion of the class of 1972, and a football game. Prior to the ball game they enjoyed a class barbecue. MARKET TREND: Market was strong and active with plenty of buyers on hand - quite a few cattle were sent into Idaho and further east. The market had dropped each day earlier in the week until Thursday morning when it gained its earlier declines. Heavy fills and popbellies were discounted accordingly. All classes including cows and bulls were stronger than expected with steer calves $2.00 stronger than a week ago. NEXT SALE: Thursday, September 30.
