There were 39 buyers and 83 consignors represented at
Thursday's market.
MARKET TREND: Market was strong and active with
plenty of buyers on hand - quite a few cattle were sent into
Idaho and further east. The market had dropped each day
earlier in the week until Thursday morning when it gained its
earlier declines. Heavy fills and popbellies were discounted
accordingly. All classes including cows and bulls were
stronger than expected with steer calves $2.00 stronger than
a week ago.
NEXT SALE: Thursday, September 30. Other sales to note
include the October 21st sale as it will feature weaned calves,
with over 1,000 head already consigned; also the Oveson
Hereford sale to be held November 8th at La Grance
Livestock.
