IDavid and April Hilton Sykes, Publishers J Obituaries" Anna Elizabeth Robertson TOLEDO - Anna Elizabeth Robertson, 70, of Toledo, died May 5, 1982. Mrs. Robertson was born January 23, 1912 to Patrick and Mary McDevitt McDaid in lone. She married Henry Rob ertson in Hermiston on Sep tember 6, 1930. Mrs. Robert son was a Toledo resident for th past 50 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Cath olic Church and Altar Society in Toledo. Office of the rosary was said Friday, May 7 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Toledo, with a Mass of Resurrection said on Saturday, May 8. Interment was at Eureka Cemetery, Newport. Mrs. Robertson was pre ceeded in death by her hus band. Henry, in 1969. Survivors include one daughter, Myrtle Hall of Tole do; three sons, Ralph of Tole do, Robert of Renton, Wash., and David of Myrtle Point; one brother James Johnston, Heppner; two sisters, Agnes Sperry and Anna Marie Wil son, both of Heppner and 14 grandchildren. Bateman Funeral Home, Newport, was in charge of arrangements. Births Ryan Ince Adkisson - A son, Ryan Ince, was born to Scott and Jeannie Adkisson of Hep pner on May 3 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Heppner. He weighed 9 lbs. 34 oz. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ron McDonald, Heppner and Mr. and Mrs. James Ince, Bend. Kimberly Lynnette Marvin -A daughter, Kimberly Lynnet te was born to Don and Cathy Marvin of Heppner on May 6 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Heppner. She weighed 10 lbs. 15'i oz. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Keith Vosberg, Lexing ton and Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Marvin, South Dakota. Great-grandparent is Mr. Delbert Herman of Albany. Kimberly joins brothers Lance, seven and Ben, three, and a sister, Jennifer, five, at home. Kenneth Jay Lane A son, Kenneth Jay, was born to Marvin and Marie Lane of Heppner on May 6 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Heppner. He weighed 7 lbs. 104 oz. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Van Marter Jr. of Heppner and Mr. and Mrs. George Lane of Condon. Great-grandparent is Mrs. Doris Ball of Heppner. Kenneth joins a sister, Jac queline Kay, three years, at home. Amber I.ynn Wilson - A daughter, Amber Lynn, was born to Randy and Sharon Wilson of Lexington on May 8 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Heppner. She weighed 7 lbs. 5'i oz. Hanna Arbuckle, Becket Pocupine, Wyland, Hardman Ridge, Lonerock, Joe Kenny and French Road. Gravel was spread on Sun flower Flat Road, Hale Ridge, Deadman Road, Emma White Road and B. McLaughlin Road. On the Lena Hisler Road, a new culvert was installed, shoulders were reshaped, det eriorated asphalt removed, gravel spread and pot holes patched. Pot holes were patched with cold mix on Fuller Canyon, Dee Cox, lone Gooseberry and Pine City Road to Lena. North Morrow County patching was done on Miller Road, No. 911 Irrigon, No. 971 Boardman - Irrigon Road, Patterson Jun ction Road, No. 906 Irrigon, No. 777, No. 716, No. 752 and Peters Road. The Clark's Canyon Bridge near the Wagonblast Ranch is now open to traffic. He was lodged at the Umatilla City Jail. DAs RepofT John William Krebs, 31 of Cecil was found to be a Habit ual Traffic Offender in Mor row County Circuit Court on Friday. May 7. reported Mor row County District Attorney Ann Spicer. The determina tion was based on 31 moving traffic violations, she said. Krebs is prohibited to oper ate a vehicle on the highways of Oregon for 10 years unless he has a valid renewable probationary license, issued by the Motor Vehicles Divi sion, she said. In other news. Charles A. Vandetta, 36. of Heppner, was found guilty of speeding and of having No Valid Operator's License on May 7 in Morrow County District Court, report ed Deputy District Attorney Harold McLean. He was found not guilty of Driving While Suspended. McLean added. Vandetta was sentenced to a $29 fine for having No Valid Operator's License and a $55 fine for speeding, McLean stated. Heppner. 9 a.m.; Sheriffs Report 1 The Morrow County Sher iff's office at the Morrow County Courthouse in Heppner handled the following calls and cases during the past week : On May 3, Gregg Prior, manager of Taggarres Farms, Boardman, reported the theft of a large amount of tools. The theft occured about two weeks ago and the value of the tools was not available. On May 7, a grass fire was reported at 4:31 p.m. behind Lincoln Square Apartments, Boardman. The current tax bases are not adequate to provide county services or keep schools open without additional voter approved money. A tax base sets a tax limit which cannot be exceeded without voter approval. The average increase in taxes approved by voters over the past ten years has been greater than the limit that would have been set by a tax base. We believe realistic tax bases for Morrow County and Morrow County Schools make good business sense. We urge a YES vote on both tax base issues on May 1 8f 1 982.
