The classes will begin March 23 and will continue March 25 and 30 with the Inst session tn he held April 1 All classes begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Seventh-day. Adventist Church. 560 N. Minor in Heppner. Eileen Saunders, master of public health, will be director and Delta Huher coordinator for the classes. Brindle and a volunteer tra veled to Irrigon to help Mary Gasser. a Blue Mountain Economic Development Council employee with fuel assistance and cheese distri bution at the North Morrow Annex. Low Income Energy Assistance Program (fuel as sistance) has served 113 families in Morrow County. Government surplus cheese had been given to 135 families in Morrow County by the end of February. Brindle said almost all of the center's cheese had been distributed and those who qualify who haven't received cheese should apply for it at the center soon, Kespnnso to the advertise ment for a weatherizatinn crew was good. Weatheriza tion should begin later in March. Twelve women attended last Thursday's afternoon social. The women made St. Patrick's Day corsages and en joyed a few games of bingo. Volunteer Income Tax As sistance (VITA representa tive Pegge Ramos has recent ly been in Heppner filling nut income tax forms for those who qualify for the service. She is scheduled to return to Heppner March 19. Many clothes and household items have been donated to the center in the past few weeks. They are greatly appreciated. Participants who complete either the three or six mile run will be awarded both a T-shirt and a certificate. Applications for the Rolling Hills Run may be picked up at the Heppner Elementary School office.
