Plan were discussed for Pamona Grange, held there Sat., Oct. 24, and plans were discussed for the Blue Moun tain Fiddlers concert and Stew Supper to be held there Sat., Nov. 21. from 8 p.m. to 8 p.m. , Blue Mountain Fiddler's ad mission will be $4 for the evening or entertainment only 82. This meeting is open to the public. Following the regular busi ness of the evening an election of officers was held with the following elected : Master, Delpha Jones; Overseer, Lyle Peck; Chaplain, Marie Stea gall; Steward, Earl Papineau; Genealogy workshop set Nov. 4 A special information work shop on genealogy will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Lexington board room from 9 a.m. until S p.m. The work shop is sponsored by Blue Mountain Community College. The one-day program will deal with the steps necessary to set up a family search including: how to begin the search, necessary forms, the file systems used, the corres pondence needed and the cost. Instructor will be Betty Kim ball who currently teaches a genealogy course for BMCC in Pendleton. The cost of the one-credit course is 813. Persons interest ed in registration details should contact Nancy Brown field, BMCC south Morrow County area coordinator, at 676-5039 If there is enough interest shown, as a result of the workshop, a full-scale geneal ogy class will be scheduled in the area at a later date , according to Nancy Brown field. Local woman chosen to varsity team Margaret Kincaid, 1981 Heppner High School grad uate, is one of three freshmen al Eastern Oregon State College on the colleges varsity volleyball team. The Mounties have eight returning lettermen combin ing with the three freshmen to round out the team. Coach Jean Neely said, "The team is much stronger than last year and we hope to better their 14 14 record." Margaret Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Kin caid. Reserve table space now for Artifactory By MARV ANN CEKULLO Area artists and craftsmen are encouraged to reserve table space to take part in the tenth annual AAUW sponsored Artifactory. This year's art fair will be held December 5 at the Morrow County Fair grounds in Heppner. Callers are asked to phone between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. NHS to sponsor haunted house Heppner High School Na tional Honor Society will sponsor haunted house, Halloween night, Oct. 81, 6 - 9 p.m. at the Donna Bergstrom residence, 180 S.
