County Court News Morrow County Court con vened Wednesday. Sept. 16 and covered the following business: ( Deferred the appointment of a second representative for District Manpower Advisory Council. Barbara Cummings had previously accepted the first appointment: Received a letter from county Deputy R.W. Knack concerning increased littering in South Morrow County. The court ruled to consult the district attorney's office on the matter; Received a letter from the Department of Revenue con cerning their review of Mor row County's 1980 budget report; Discussed attending a work shop on water resource man agement in Pasco, Washing ton. Miller were united in marriage on July 18 in a 2 p.m. ceremony at the Heppner Christian Church. The Rev. Don Shelton officiated. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore her mother's wedding dress, which was made by her grandmother. The satin gown with a lace bodice featured a long train with lace inserts around the edge of the train and bottom of the full skirt which were caught up with blue satin roses. The neckline was also decorated with blue satin roses. A finger-tip veil held in place by a lace tiara completed her ensemble. The bride carried a bouquet of peach and blue silk roses made by her sister, Carlita Bloodsworth. Vows were exchanged in front of a decorated white heart made by the brides grandfather. The heart has become a family tradition and has been used by all of his granddaughters. Pam Piper, Lexington, sister of the bride was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Lolita Grace, Albany, Joyce Hughes, Lexington, Sheree Smith, Hermiston, and Jana Marquardt, Lexington, all sisters of the bride, and Lisa Papineau, Heppner. Flower girl was Joni Messenger, a cousin of the bride and ring bearer was Ryan Miller, brother of the groom. All of the bride's attendants wore peach and blue sheer silk organza floor length dresses. The dresses had off the shoulder tops with full ruffled skirts that were pulled up in the back for a bustle effect. They each carried long stemmed peach and blue silk roses. The flower girl wore a dress matching the attendants and carried a basket of peach and blue silk roses. Candle lighters, who also served as ushers, were Gary Messenger, Portland, cousin of the bride, and Jay Patterson of Heppner. Best man was Reid Miller of Heppner, brother of the groom. Grooms men were Clay Grace, Albany, Randy Hughes, Jim Bloodsworth, Pendleton, all brothers-in-law of the bride and Jim Marquardt, Lexington, the brides brother, and Keith Papineau, Heppner. Wedding music was "Sunrise, Sunset" sung by Norita Marquardt of Portland and "Longer Than" sung by Philip Marquardt, Lexington, both cousins of the bride. Organist was Vivian Messenger of Portland, aunt of the bride and pianist was Douglas Marquardt, Lexington, cousin of the bride. A wedding reception following the ceremony was held in the church basement which was decorated with basket arrangements of peach and blue roses. The wedding cake, made by Lois Connor, cousin of the bride, was decorated with peach and blue flowers and featured a fountain of bubbling peach water. Pouring were Joyce Hollomon, Heppner, aunt of the groom, a Vivian Messenger of Portland, brides aunt. Serving cake were Rena Marquardt, Lexington and Sue Messenger of Portland, both aunts of the bride.
