Obituary Alton L. IIFPPNFM-Alton L. Osmin. 74. died Saturday. February 28. in Heppner. A retired rancher. Mr. Osmin Was a lifetime resident of the community. We feel that the secret meetings held by the AAA lot Area Agency on Aging) is not fair to the Sr. Citizens nor a proper procedure to make such a major change without consulting or getting some sort of input from the Sr's. The Sr's would have accept- Sheriffs Report The Sheriffs Dept. at the Morrow County Courthouse in Heppner handled the following calls over the past week: On March 1. a fire was reported at the Mobile station at Boardman. The Boardman Fire Ikpl. responded. On Feb 2K. the Stale Police at The Dalles reported tl at a Greyhound Bus driver had reported that a passenger at the Texaco station in Board man was semi-conscious. A Boardman ambulance respon ded to the call. Also on Feb 2R. Mr. McCully. 122 Columbia Ave.. Boardman, reported a chim ney fire. The Boardman Fire Dept. responded. In another Feb. 2H incident, a fire was reported in the storage shed at the Claude Graham residence, Heppner. The Heppner Fire Dept responded to the call. Also on Feb. 28. Richard Terrill Lutes was arrested by Lane County on a Morrow County warrant. The subject is in custody at Lane County corrections. On F eb. 28 Bernard Hernan dez requested an ambulance for his grandfather who had hurt his foot. A Boardman ambulance responded to the 'call. On Feb 2fi. Franklin Doten Lewis was arrested by a Morrow County Sheriff's dep uty on a Grants Pass Police Dept. warrant for alleged theft by deception, second degree. Also on Feb. 2(i. the Board man Fire Dept. responded to a house fire at the Rash Dairy on Wilson Road. Boardman. The alarm sounded at 7:11 a.m. On Feb 22. Kevin William Trappen was arrested by the Portland Police Dept. on a fit h Justice Court warrant for failure to pay a fine on charges of hunting game mammals during a closed season.
