Luyd E. Harshman and Edna Lovgren were married March 2, 1931, in Heppner by the Reverend Moore. Loyd herded sheep for McCurdy across the mountains above Heppner for many years. Edna packed for the sheep trins and was a full-time mother and housewife raising four children; Mrs. Billie Coppuck of Lone Rock, Oregon, Bud Harshman of Walla Walla, Washington, Mrs. Annn Abel of Millon-Freewaler and Frank Harshman of Dayton, Washington. They also have many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loyd and Edna moved from Heppner to Dayton, Washington, in l!tr7. where Loyd logged and then became an operator oiler in the Operating Engineers Union until his retirement in 1972. Edna worked al Green Giant Cannery and cooked at the old and new Dayton Hospital. They then moved in 1975 to a small acreage west of Millon Kreewaler where they raise sheep, calves nnd a small garden. Mustangs end season with home loss By ANDREW GORMAN The Heppner Mustangs end ed their season last Saturday night as they took on the Wasco County Redsides at our house, The Redsides left with a victory. 59 to 40. Wasco County made a big jump in the first quarter to override the Mustangs. Saturday. March 7. at the Pendleton Armory from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission to the festival is $1 for adults and 5i cents for children. Script will be sold for the wine and food. This festival will help to celebrate the 100th birthday of Red Cross. Last year it was estimated that over 2.000 rx'ople attended, Twenty booths have been reserved for the festival which will feature a variety of delacacies from all over the world. Briggs made the comments following reports of efforts underway to put a levy before the voters to upgrade' 'and build roads in Morrow County.
