At the Hood River Invita tional, Kelli Bergstrom placed second in the 66 meter butterfly for 11-12 girls in a time of 57:98 compared to the winning time of 57.64; Heidi Samples was fifth in the 66 meter backstroke in a time of 1 :04 while Kelli placed third in a time of 1:01.220. Cam George placed fourth in the 66 meter breaststroke in a time of 1:09.9. Kelli Berg strom placed sixth in the 10C meter freestyle in a time ol 1:24.43. Sheriff Morrow County, Oregor By Pauline Winter Deputv Published July 5. 12, 19, 26. 1979 Last weekend. 190 members of the Doherty Family held a "sometimes" annual reunion at the Blackhorse Homestead Ranch and in Heppner. Mrs. Bernard Doherty was the principal hostess at the mid-afternoon Saturday pic nic at the ranch. On Sunday, most of the family attended St. Patrick's Church in Heppner and the after-mass coffee hour. Among those members of the "Blackhorse," "Pilot Rock" and "Sand Hollow" branches of the Doherty tribe who rallied were members with' the following family names: McLaughlin, Daly, Dyer. Thorsen, Healy, Brown, Howard, Wardy, Turner, Run nion and Miller. The family is now in its fifth generation in this area. Some of the out-of-town participants were Roger Doh erty and wife Ilene, from Denver, Betty Thorsen from Mt. View, California and Christie Brown from Fountain Valley in southern California. A good size group came from the Seattle-Tacoma area. The youngest attending was three-month-old Ryan, son of Jhe Jack McLaughlins of Elma, Washington. The oldest was Kate Daly, Pendleton, the mother of Charley Daly, Cal Healy and Mary Doherty of this county and Patricia Boyd, Pendleton. On July 7, Princess Lori Edward's dance is scheduled and from July 13-15, the three member court, Queen Debra Palmer, and her princesses, Lori Edwards and Jennifer Wenholz and their pennant bearers will be in Prineville. On July 21, the court travels to the Ft. Dalles Days Parade and plans to be in La Grande on July 22. Last Saturday, the group traveled to the Milton-Free-water festival and attended a luncheon following the par , ade. They were hosted to a luncheon June 27 at Frasu's in Hermiston by Mrs. Gary (Virginia) Grieb and Mrs. Cecil (Delpha) Jones. Gifts were presented to the girls and mothers. Pennant-bearers are Anijg Palmer, Sylvia Ladd, Tammie Holtz and Melanie Seitz.
