By Birdine Tullis your nose, as your eyes take in the wonder of the beautiful view. That was just one of the experiences enjoyed by the 45 who shared a lovely day in the area of Hood River last Tuesday. Luck rode with the group, for although it was raining at home, the sun shone down the river! First stop for the group was a tour of Jantzen where they saw blouses and T-shirts quickly progressing down the assembly line. The Hood River distillery gave them insight into the bottling of Hear and Their ByEvaHamlett Mr. and Mrs. Jim Swanson are the parents of a boy born April 27 at the Good Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston. The baby weighed 4 lbs., 12 oz. and has been named Luke Gar land. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Francis Circle of Roseburg, and Mrs. Irene Swanson of Heppner. Norman Nelson had major surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn, on April 24. Last reports indicate he was doing well and may be dismissed soon, but will re main in Rochester awhile.
