Other guests present were Loreen Montgomery, Ruggs, Muriel Palmer, Lexington; Maryann Palmer, Geneva Palmer, Norma Rea, Helen Pettyjohn, Lou Mcintosh, Vera Rietmann, Carmen French, and Beulah Sherer, lone. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mat thews returned . home on Friday after spending a week in Salem visiting Mr. and Mrs. Pat Thornton, and seeing their new grandson. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lndstrom returned home last week from and trip to California where they visited with their daugh ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Wiper, of Kelsey ville, and with Mr. Lind strom's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Mortensen at Palm Springs, Cal. Saturday and Sunday were busy days for most Ionians. Saturday, a large number attended the Artifactory in Heppner, either working or just looking around and buy ing articles they wanted. On Sunday a number of people spent the day at Columbia Center shopping, however the majority attended the Cardi nal Club's Carnival held at the American Legion Hall Sunday afternoon. Those attending reported a good time was had by all, and Mr. Perry Morter was the winner of the door prize, a turkey donated by Bristow's Market. On Sunday morning follow ing services at the United Church of Christ, the coffee hour was held in honor of Mrs. Bill Graham, the occasion being her birthday. Installation of all Grange members in the county will be held Sunday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. at the Willow's Grange Hall. Following the installation a pot luck supper of sandwiches, salads and dessert will be served. Officers of Willow's Grange to be installed for the coming O Holly PNG club and their guests motored to Hermiston Wednesday where they en joyed a luncheon and spent the afternoon shopping. Each per son present received a small corsage and the Secret sisters were revealed with the draw ing for new ones for the coming year. Those present were Dorothy Burcham, Leila Palmer, Irene Padberg, Freda Majeske, Vir ginia Peck, Jo Irvin, Florence McMillan, Delpha Jones, Lee Miller, Valda Smith, Catie Padberg and Eula Bloods worth. The next meeting will be at the home of Leila Palmer. Three Links Club met at the home of Delpha Jones Thurs day to finish the articles for the Artifactory. Plans were further discussed for the Christmas party and pot-luck dinner. Refreshments were served. Vicki Tollefson and Lela Breidenbach were directors for the productions which were selected from the book "Signs of His Coming" by W.A. Poovey. The first play, "The Baby", featured Barbara Devine and Ron Young as Edith and Bob Rogers and Tim Hedman as Jim Rogers their older teen age son. It was set in the Roger's living room a week before Christmas. The next production, "The Book", took place in a simple Palestinian home about 50 A.D. CWA of the Willow's Grange will hold their Christmas party Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. in the Grange Hall. A turkey dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Members are to bring salads or desserts. After dinner there will be a Christmas program followed by a visit from Santa Claus. Grange meeting will start at 8 p.m. qualified and the new officers. The potluck dinner in the. church basement preceding the plays was attended by a sizable group which moved upstairs afterward to decorate the sanctuary Christmas tree and to sing carols. "Everything is fine finan cially. We have more commu nity support than we have ever had and help available in getting a permanent building. We have an extremely well qualified person ready to take over as permanent director," said Dawn Stuchell, chairman of the Center's Board of Directors. The Center was forced to close on Oct. 1 after losing the Seventh Day Adventist gym which had been its home since opening three years ago.
