' i ' i t - -s 1 Marshalls to celebrate golden anniversary The golden wedding an niversary of Mr. and Mrs. Wiiiiam Marshall of Arlington will ; be celebrated at a reception on Sunday, August 14 at the Arlington Methodist Church. The couple asks there be no gifts.' Hosts for the event will be the Marshalls' three sons and their spouses, Mr. and Mrs. William L. Marshall of Salem, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Marshall of Boise, Ida. and Mr. and Mrs. Don M. Marshall of Portland. The family in cludes eight grnadchildren. She was born March 17, 1893 at Monument, the daughter of John and Georgiana Garmen Capon. Mrs. Wright was a long-time member of All Saints Episco pal Church. Funeral services were held Monday, August 8, at 10 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Ken neth D. Miller officiating. The congregation sang hymns ac companied by Gail Hughes at the organ. Casket bearers were Robert Stevens, Elmer Palmer, Earl McKinney, Archie Bechdolt, Marion Hayden and Don Anderson. March 30, 1942, in Ontario, Ore. on December 8, 1967, she was united in marriage to William Britt at Spray. Theodore Pierson Funeral services were held August 5 for former Heppner resident Theodore R. Pierson, 69, late of White Salmon, Wash., who died August 2. Mr. Pierson was born June 19, 1908 to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Peirson of Madras.
