The young miss has been named Wendy Marie and joins a 15-month-old brother, Shane. Grandparents are Mrs. Rod Esselstyn of Pendleton, and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Palmateer of lone. Mrs. Ted Palmateer re turned home last Friday, April 11, after spending five weeks in Delta, Utah, helping her daughter, Janet, taking care of Shane and the new baby. Mrs. Joyce Darst of Eugene spent the Easter weekend visiting with her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Grand Square dancers fete senior's club When square dancers from the Grand Squares dance club of lone danced for the shut-ins at the nursing home, and for the Senior Citizens' Club social at Memorial Hall in Condon last Dec. 19, 1976, it was enjoyed so much by both participants and spectators that they were asked and promised to return. True to their word, Sunday afternoon, April 17, two squares did that very thing. Mr. and Mrs. Vincente Munoz (nee: Susan Pinney) of McNary are the parents of a girl, Rebecca Elizabeth, born on April 12. Rebecca weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Munoz of Huaz- club president Marvin Epley and wife Muriel, Olex; Ron Davis, Rock Creek area ; Jim and Helen Cochran, Condon; and the club's caller, Darrel Wilson and his "taw" (wife) Bev, lone. As before, the square dan cers shared in a dance with the senior citizens. Ron Davis of the Grand Squares called this one. The Grand Squares also enjoyed dancing one set to the calling of Don Wood, club president-elect. A supper of sandwiches, relishes, punch, coffee and strawberry shortcake prepar ed by the senior citizen hosts was shared and enjoyed. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Moore of Hermiston. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Ball announce the birth of a son, Shaun Dale, on Sunday, April 10, in Walla Walla, Wash. He weighed 8 lbs., 5 oz. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ball and Mr. and Mrs. Rod Thomson, all of Heppner, and Mrs. Fred Castor of Roger, Ark. A bridal shower was held in honor of Terri O'Connor on Saturday afternoon, April 16, at the United Church of Christ Social Room. Terri is the bride-elect of Duane Higel of Boise, Ida. The room was decorated in shades of yellow, orange and white. Assisting at the bride's table were Mrs. June O'Con nor, mother of the bride-to-be, and Mrs. Sharlene Arends of Heppner. The tea table was covered with a white linen cloth and a large bouquet of yellow and orange tulips centered the table, flanked by yellow can dles. Mrs. Lewis Halvorsen poured coffee and tea, and Mrs. Roy Lindstrom served the punch. Hostesses for the event were Mrs. Lewis Halvorsen, Mrs. Paul Pettyjohn, Sr., Mrs. Roy Lindstrom, Mrs. Herbert Ek strom, Sr., and Mrs. Adon Hamlett. While they were home, they celebrated their mother's birthday. Former Irrigon residents, Mr. and Mrs. John Henner, Sr., visited old friends, including Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Stephens and Mr. and Mrs. Vestie Elgin in Irrigon on Friday. The Irrigon Lions' Club provided 65 dozen colored Easter eggs for the Irrigon Community Easter Egg Hunt. The parade route was from the fire station to the Irrigon Park on the Columbia River.
