Do you have your gifts all made or bought and wrapped and tagged? How is your cooky baking coming? Stopping each day to read those once-a-year greetings from old friends is such a pleasant break. Presents Til never wrap and deliver, but do think about, include bundles of appreciation to Max Harris who brings Portland newspapers to our town so faithfully; a big box to the post off ce crew who takes our best wishes to people scattered everywhere; cheers to the city workman and county road crews who make it possible for our family and friends to visit us. Extra blessings to our firemen and nolicemen for their care. When we could our many community blessings, let's not forget those un sung good citizens who serve on many necessary boards and committees. We know they have the satisfaction of contributing their talents to the well-being of others but an occa-Uonal pat on the back and special thanks for their many hours of efforts is always over due. Home from the hospital and also home for the holidays is Ron Palmer. Aithought Ron will be confined to bed most of the time. Tom and Cathy Cutsforth are home from Denver, Colorado, where Tom is stationed in the Navy. They are visiting Tom's mother Lucia Barrett and Cathy's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bartlett, Boardman. Doug Goaty is home for the Christmas holidays visiting with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gonty and brother Tom. Doug is stationed with the Air Force in North Dakota. Guests of the Frank Andersons in Palm Beach, Calif were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Farley for a week, enjoying the sunny weather of southern California. Drake of Heppner on Nov. 26, 1976, at Valby Lutheran Church. Drake is the son of Mrs. Grace Drake, Union, Ore. Officiating at the double ring ceremony were Rev. Grace Drake. Vocal music was provided by Rick Drake, brother of the groom, and Jeff Bergstrom, cousin of the bride. Organist was Mrs. Paul Tews. Lighting candles were Kay and Lori Bergstrom. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given away by her family. She wore an ivory satin and lace gown trimmed with pearls and Larry Mills v j r S 9U9-8221 for Drake-Bergstrom wedding a standing lace collar. The floor length gown extended into a train. Her four tiered illusion veil was trimmed with matching lace. She carried flowers of white spider mums, bahy's breath, and wheat centered around a white or chid. They carried baskets of yellow daisies, baby's breath, and wheat. All flowers for the wedding were done by Mrs. Fern Marcum, grandmother of the bride and Mrs. Frances Rothery. The groom's attendants were his brother, Rick Drake, as best man, and LeRoy Horton, Dundee, Ore., and Paul Lim meroth, The Dalles, Ore., as groomsmen. The men were dressed in brown and beige tur.edos. A reception and buffet sup per followed at the Valby Parish Hall. Pouring coffee was Susan Ferguson, sister of the groom, and pour ing punch were Cheri Carlson and Sandy Bennett. Mrs. Joe McKlligott attended the guest book and Andrea Bergstrom, cousin of the bride, handed out bugs of rice.
