A gra duate of the University of Oregon, she will teach junior high language arte. She has taught at Junction City for two and a half years and is glad to be back in Hepp ner after seven years away. MARY BENEDICT teaches kindergarten in Heppner. She is also a U of O graduate and holds two degrees in elemen tary education and psy chology. A native Port lander, she finds her first small town life pleasant. SUSAN DICKER tea ches in the resources class at Heppner wiih mentally retarded you ngsters. She received her schooling at Illinois and the U of 0. She ap preciated the warm we lcome and "hopes to live up to expectations." m ft mm MARILYN POST will teach first grade at Heppner. A native of Eastern Oregon and the Grande Rhonde Valley, she received her edu cation at Eastern Ore- mm goo State College and has taught in the Pen dleton school district. "I didn't feel like a stran ger here," she said of her welrom 1 Attends seminar Ernie McCabe of Central Market in Heppner attended a retail meat seminar last week at the Olympic Hotel in Seattle, WA. Among the subjects covered in detail were: consumer at titudes toward seafood, mi crobiology and the retailer, temperature control, sanita tion and products displays. CB'ers elect Carter The Morrow County CB'ers held their first, organizational meeting Sept. 12 and elected officers. Elected were Terry Carter, President; Dan Morris, vice president; and Ronnie McBri de, secretary-treasurer. The meeting, held at the Woodworker's Union Hall, saw II members turn out. They were: Bud Springer (Rockhound); Gen Springer (Pebbles); Dan Morris (Big Dan'l), Barbara Morris (Li'l Rascal), Lee Howard (Little Rock), Jay Howard (Rim rock), Ray Panter (Stump Jumper), Dan McBride (Body Man), Ronnie McBride (Bam bi); Terry Carter (Fox Hunt er), and Candy Carter (Fox Fire). The next meeting is slated for Oct. 10, S p.m. Applications may be obtained from any of the above members.
