Lotts Electric Heppner, Oregon 676-531 1 "We want more high school students in our 4 H Empire Builden Club, and are Invit ing them to come to our next meeting, Dec. 1, 7-9 p.m. at the conference room of the Exten lion Office, Heppner, to find out all about being a "mem ber" say the officers of the group. Plans for the meeting call for reorganization of the group, as well as plans for events and activities to be carried out such as exchanges with other counties, parties, civic projects, and other special events. All high school age students are eligible to become mem bers of the club. No specific project completion is required of members, but rather the club selects their own goals and objectives for the year. n response to an article citing the values of the new state wide 4 H Crochet pro ject, Colleen Bergstrom has volunteered to lead a group interested in the project. Mrs. Bergstrom lives In the Ruggs area and would like a club of members near her home, or members whose parents would transport them to her home for meetings. Anyone interested? As a fund raising project they also decided to ask for donations for two saddle blankets which they will raffle off at a later date. Their 4 H record books were returned to them and the results of the books was also discussed. They were instructed in the care of horses and with the use of charts were shown the anatomical structure of a horse. SYLVIA LADD, Reporter SOI PKR COOKIES The Souper Cookies met Oct. 24 at the home of Shirley Jones. Present were leaders ' Shirley Jones and Sandy Richardson. Members were Arlene Gray, Mardel James. Lisa Wilson. Cam George, Tom Jones and Kim George. We talked about a Christ mas Party for our next meeting and each member is to bring a gift. For the meeting each mem ber brought a measuring cup and spoons. We each measur ed something different, then walked around the table and tasted what we had measured.
