Ed wards works for the Fish Hatchery in Kooskia and was enroute lo Cascade Locks for a load of fish eggs, w hen he had (he misfortune of being hit from the rear by a logging truck. He was not injured and thought his vehicle was ok to travel but as darkness came he discovered his lights had been knocked out of focus, when he had been rammed into the small pickup ahead of him. The Provincials Trio will be ministering at the Irrigon Assembly of God the w eek of Nov. 9-16. 7 p.m.. with the exceptions of Monday and Saturday nights. The trio includes J. P. Mr. and Mrs. George Stubblefield took Rob ert to Heppner and spent ihe nighl and Thursday in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Theron King. Fox were guests at the Fred Shanks home Friday. Mr. King was taken seriously ill early Sunday morning and was taken to Blue Mountain Hospital, John Day and un derwent surgery. Their son Dr. and Mrs. Earl King. Sacramento, CA. came to be with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Mead Gilman purchased a home in John Day last week and are in the process of moving. Their son, Mr. and Mrs. Mead Gilman Jr.. Seattle, are here helping them move. The Gilmans have sold their home to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stubblefield. Mr. and Mrs. Don Capon and sons went to Pendleton to visit w ith Teen Miller, w ho is a patient in St. Anthony's Hos pital. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Barrow returned Sunday from Salt Lake City, where they spent two weeks. The Barrows recently returned from Idaho lo the former Mead Giiman ranch on Cottonwood. Their son Kevin who had been staying with the Phil Murphys is now with his parents. Mike Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Murphy under went back surgery at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Portland.
