The requirement for a $500 income the previous 2 out of 3 years has been removed. Some properties not previous ly eligible for the farm deferral taxation rate may now be. Properties may retain farm deferral taxation without be ing toned "Qualified Farm", but re-application for farm deferral has to he made before March 31 each year. Properties which have farm deferral AND are toned "Qualified Farm" do not have to re-apply for farm deferral each year, and are also eligible to pay Inheritance taxes on the farm deferral value of the farm, rather than fair market value. The marriage ceremony was performed by a former pastor of the bride. Joel Stahlof Irrigon sang "Because" and "Wedding Prayer." He was accompanied by Frances Mc Coy at the organ who supplied the wedding music. Families from Irrigon attending the wedding includ ed: Mr. and Mrs. Joel Stahl. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Stahl, Mr. and Mrs. Allan McCoy, and Francine Evans and dau ghters. Those from Umatilla and Hermiston were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Eckert, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Frost, Pastor Floyd Mohr and his wife , Sharl. At (he reception Francine Evans served the wedding cake which she had made. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Pum mel were honored on their 25th wedding anniversary with a party given for them by Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Stewart, at their home Wednesday even ing. The two couples have often celebrated their anni versaries together. Mrs. Betty Schmeder and the Pummels daughter, Mrs. Anita Busto, Portland, served punch and anniversary cake. Mr. and Mrs. Pummel and Mr. and Mrs. Stewart were guests at a dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Eppen bach the same evening. The Eppenbach's were celebrating their ninth anniversary. Evening services will begin at 7 p.m. The young people of the church plan an outing at Lake Wallowa for this week July 31 and Aug. 12. Pastor Robert Schmoll and a number of the parents will accompany them. Devotional services will be held each day at the camp. Warren McCoy of Irrigon was elected to the position of State Jr. Vice Commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, at the State Convention at Seaside. Mrs. McCoy was elected president of District 8 Auxi liary. McCoy has been district Commander, Post Command er and District Chaplain. He and Mrs. McCoy plan to attend the National Convention in August. Mr. and Mrs. Don Duncan and Michelle spent several days in Boise, ID recently. They were called there due to the illness of Mrs. Duncan's father and grandfather. Debbie, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren McCoy also visited her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Mac McCoy on the Island of Ouhu. Dewey West Jr. of Board man visited his aunt Ma. E.A. Stephens in Irrigon upon hi return from a vacation in Canada. Mrs. Stephens had recently received word from her brother Dewey West Sr. of Woodburn Senior Estates that he Is presently in Denmark. Mr: West had attended a dinner with 27 members of his family living in Denmark. He also attended a church built In 1150 in Bornholm, where he received communion with other members of his family. ARTIST COMING Tom Simonton, Pendleton artist, will be in Heppner to paint fair and rodeo scenes on downtown windows. He is the artist who helped brighten up Main Street with his person alized drawings last year during fair and rodeo time. If anyone has any special requests for his talents, con tact Mrs. Bob Jepsen.
