It75. the Board of Directors of the System adopted Resolution No. 753 providing for a plan and system for 'he acquisition and construction by the System of two nuclear generating plants to be known as its Nuclear Project No. 4 and Nuclear Project No. 3. j : 2. The projects which are the subject of the above actions and the property pertaining to said actions are as follows: ' 2.A. The System's Nuclear Project No. 4 U a nuclear fueled electric generating anil consisting of a nuclear steam supply system manufactured by Babcock It Wilcox Company which supplies steam to a Westinghouse Electrk Company turbine-generator designed to produce approximately l,2."0,000 kilowatts of electrk energy, and the related cooling facilities and other auxiliary equipment, structures and buildings. The unit U currently scheduled to begin commercial operation in March 1982. The Project location is in Benton County. Washington, and U located approximately IS miles north of Richland on a portion of the United States Energy Resources Development Agency Reservation. 2.B. The System's Nuclear Project No. S is a nuclear fueled electrk generating unit consisting of a nuclear steam supply system manufactured by Combustion Engineering, Inc., which supplies steam to a Westinghouse Electric Company turbine-generator, designed to produce approximately 1.740.000 kilowatts of electric energy and the related cooling facilities and other auxiliary equipment, structures and buildings. The unit is currently scheduled to begin commercial operation in March 1983. The' Project location b in Grays Harbor County. Washington, and U located approximately three miles south of the towa of Satsop. 2.C. The Puget Sound Power & Light Company's Skagit Project U described as two nuclear furled electric generating units each of which will include a nuclear steam supply system manufactured by General Electric Company, a Westinghouse Electrk Company turbine-generator, designed to produce approximately 1.274.404 kilowatu of electrk energy and the related cooling facilities and other auxiliary equipment, structures and buildings. The units are currently scheduled to begin commercial operation in July 1982 and July 1985, respectively. The Project location is in Skagit County. Washington, and U located approximately 12 miles northeast of the City of Mount Vernon. 2. D. The electric power service areas and property therein, which may or may not be affected by the above actions, include the service areas of the above listed public utility districts, people's utility districts, irrigation district, cities, towns and electrk cooperatives. 3. The electrk power produced by the above-mentioned Projects U expected to be distributed to the preference and other customers of Bonneville throughout the Pacific Northwest Region by Bonneville and to the investor owned utilities by Bonneville or their own systems. 4. The System's actions authorized by Resolutions N'os. 752 and 753 referred to above are subsequent to Its action authoriied by its Board of Directors Resolution No. 71 adopted October 23. 1974, and the System reserves its rights under the notice of said Resolution No. 711 publishrd and Hied as authoriied by RCW Section 43.2lC.4H4. 5. II7S In Sunday' men's play 15 braved the warm weather to test the course. C.C. Carmich eal was hot as the weather and scored a 65 to win low gross. Low net went to Rick Johnston with a 52. John Edmundson and Jerry Daggett tied for the least putts. Francis Doherty dropped his tee shot about three feet from the No. 3 pin to win the KP award. Bob Jepsen hit the long drive for the day. Following regular play a sole survivor round was won by the well known sand bagger, Harold Kerr, with Dave Harrison taking second honors. The first half of the match play was won" by the team of Ron Jones and Ron William son. Second half play is now underway and is being held on Tuesday evenings instead of Thursdays. Men's club championship play will begin Aug. 2. Pairings will be announced as soon as all interested persons have registered. The Willow Creek ladies have been active hosting ladies from neighboring clubs and the most recent visitors were from Boardman and Condon. Hostesses for the day were Ada Sniffer and Rose mary Parks. Dorothy Close from Condon topped that group to take low gross and win a tote bag. Low net went to Marian Humphrey and was awarded two golf balls. Karen Dyer had long drive and Dee Hollen had KP and each received a pair of socks. Only two played from Boardman so both were win ners. Sally Green received a (ote bag for low gross and she and Dian Wetherell each received a ball for low net. Sally had the long drive and was awarded a pair of socks. Bev Gunderson topped the local ladies and was presented a tote bag for low gross. Vi Lanham received two balls for low net. Vicki Edmundson also won two balls for long drive. KP went to Pat Ed mundson who won a pair of socks for her efforts. On July 22 the Willow Creek ladies got serious about their golf game and held their first regular play for the season. Winners for the play included Lois Hunt with low gross and Ada Sniffer with least putts. High specs and low gross went to Eddi Skow. A special award was given Pat Edmundson for Uie most gripes, 19. She apparently left her clubs at home and had to use her daughters. Some dates to add to your calendar are Aug. 17 when Willow Creek will host Mc Nary golfers and then on Aug. 31 Willow Creek men and ladies will travel, to McNary. A luncheon is being planned for the lady golfers on Aug. 19. More on these events later. Accident claims Echo resident Funeral services were held in Hermiston Friday, July 25 for Phill Emert, Echo. Mr. Emert was killed when he was hit at a railroad crossing in Echo. Emert was 58. He was a rancher and wheat grower all his life. A former resident of lone, he had ranched at Echo since 1968. Mr. Emert was a veteran of World War 41 in the Air Transport Command of the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion at lone. Services were held at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermis ton with Rev. Harold McAr thur, Stanfield. officiating. Burial was at Stanfield Ceme tery with military services conducted by American Le gion Post No. 95, lone. Mr. Emert is survived by his widow, Barbara, Echo; two sons, Phill Emert, Salem; Robert Emert, Echo; two daughters, Deloris Spor.Ola tha, CO; Connie Emert, Dale, OR; five brothers, Delbert and Beecher, lone; Dee, Touchet, WA; Arland, Ray mond, WA; and Clarence, Santa Rosa, CA. One brother, Alfred, preceded him in death in World War II. Three sisters, Blanche Ward, Kuna, ID; Beulah Dunham, Camas Val ley, OR; Patricia Pettyjohn, lone; and six grand-children.
