Morrow County program assistant. The first workshop of the series will be lingerie. All homemakers are invited to attend the workshops. Morrow County women are invited to attend a sessions on microwave ovens presented by Kathy Jamieson, Gilliam County Extension Agent. Four ovens will be on display for homemakers to try out. The sessions will include an introduction to the theory (o microwaves and opera tional hints and instructions. The sessions are scheduled around a mealtime in order that those attending may eat a meal prepared in the micro wave oven. A charge will be made to cover the expenses of foods prepared. The sessions will be held Tuesday. Dec. 4, 10 a.m. to 1:30 pm.. at the Arlington City Hall; Thursday, Dec. 6. 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Condon High School Home Ec Room. Dismissed were Bruce Both well. Robinson, life time resident of the area, died Nov. 18, in Heppner. Born July 1. 1889. In the Gooseberry area, he was longtime resident of Hard man. Employed by Raymond Wright for 20 years, he worked on cattle ranches for most of his life. He was longtime member of IOOF lodge in Heppner. On Nov. 18. 1940. he was married to Ethel Allen Mc Daniel at Weiser, Idaho. Funeral services were held Wednesday. Nov. 21. at 2:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Rev. Edwin Cutting officiated. Concluding ser vices were held at the IOOF Cemetery at Hardman. Sweeney Mortuary was in care of arrangements. Besides the widow, survi vors include one son. Owen Robinson, and one daughter, Etha Brown, both of Willows, Ca., and 11 grandchildren. James Ykllae claimed James J. McRae. 68, died at Umatilla Hospital Monday. He had been a resident of Irrigon since 1946. Born in Texas. Mr. McRae was a mechanic at the Umatilla Army Depot from l!M5to 1H69. He was active for several years in Boy Scout work and w as a member of the . First Christian Church; Fra ternal Order of Eagles, Her miston; Irrigon Lions Club; Redman Lodge, Umatilla; and. the National Associa tion of Retired Federal Em " plnyees. Survivors are the widow, Hazel. Irrigon; two sons, James R. McRae. Concrete, Wn.. and William Steagall, Irrigon; three daughters. Hel en Noble, Hermiston, Martha Lou Campbell and Gloria Ann McRae, both of Tyler, Tex.; two sisters. Mrs. R. L. McGin nis' and Mrs. Charles Gaza way, both of San Antonio, Tox.;.eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside rites were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon. Contributions in Mr. Mc Rae's memory may be made to the American Cancer So ciety. Heppner, assistant district attorney for Morrow County, has been elected president of the East em Oregon Community Men tal Health Center. The organization's first slate of officers was named by the board of directors st.s recent meeting in Pendletoii. Other officers to serve with Doherty are Roliert Wiggings; owner of the Wallowa Lake Resort, vice-president; and Donna Goddard. R.N., of Burns, secretary-treasurer. ; The organization it a non 'profit corporation which serves as the policy board for the 13-county Mental Health Center for Eastern Oregon. The center is supported by funds from county, state and federal sources and provides outpatient, inpatient, day treatment, emergency care and consultation and educa tional mental health services for residents of Eastern Oregon. Wheat prices at the farm are expected to average $3.50 to $4 per bushel for the entire 1973-74 season, about double last year's record high, says the il S. Department of Agn culture in preliminary estim ates on the year's farm income. GOOD NEWS FOR 1 FOREIGN DOGS ; Dogs vaccinated w ith modi fied live rabies vaccine will be able to enter Oregon under a new regulation change pro posed by the Department of Agriculture. The new regulation will go into effect Dec. 26. 1973. The regulation lengthens the per iod of 24 months to 36 months for animals vaccinated for rabies to enter Oregon.
