High score was won by Darlene Bartlett. Pinochles were won by Sue Mattlson and Irma Ralston. Others playing for the eveing were Lorri Hire, Margie Robbing, Pat McMlnn, Barbara Heim, Vir ginia Sitton, Cvy Luper and Kallie Spivey. The Camp Five Womens Club met last week to plan the upcoming dance. The dance will be sponsored by the Camp Five Womens Gub and the proceeds will go toward the scholarship fund. The date is Nov. 17. at the Legion Hall in Fossil. Tickets are available from any member of the Camp Five Womens Club, The date for the Christmas card party is Dec. 8 at the Camp Five Community Hall. Good Neighbors will hold its annual bazaar Nov. 16 in the Jpffmore Hall kitchen. The proceeds will go towards a community project. Donations are welcome. For information call Molly Day, 768-2555, Linda Nyseth, 768-2626. There will be a door prize. Doubledeck Card Gub was held Friday evening at the first grade room with Virginia Sitton as hostess. High was won by Naomi Rice with second high going to Marylin Bailey. Pinochles went to Vi Stinkard and Bonnie Camp bell. Others playing were Rossie Graham, LaVelle Jel lick and Hallie Spivey. Going to Portland over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Jiggs Bowman and family. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bowman and their new daughter, Erika. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Reid went to John Day Tuesday for eye care. Mrs. Robert Kelso and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bell went to . Madras Thursday evening where Mrs. Kelso entered Mountain View Hospital. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Don Slinkard over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Slinkard and family of Klam ath Falls. Retumina after a week's vacation at North Powder were Mr. and Mrs. Verlin Conner. Mr. and Mrs. Harvy Spivey of Baker and neice and nephews Kelly, Bryan, Terry and Barry, were here for the weekend visiting relatives and friends. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Norris were Fred Norris and son, Mike, and Ed Norris of Prineville. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Don Stanton for the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hunt and sons of Swisshome. Visi ting Mr. and Mrs. Stanton over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Doggett and family of Bend. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Henry Spivey over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Bart Wood and family of Baker. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Kandle were Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Kandle and family of Redmond and Hugh Kandle of Baker. Theresa Hyatt was home over the weekend visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Way land Hyatt. I 5 Lexington Holly Rebekah Lodge met Thursday for the regular meeting under the chairman ship of Noble Grand Freida Majeske. Elected officers are noble grand, Florence McMillan; vice grand, Vivian McCon nell ; secretary, Delpha Jones ; . treasurer, Ruth RoHnson : and three-year trustee, Freida Majeske. Visiting member, Bernice Wihlon, Redmond, was Intro duced. Following the meeting refreshments were served In the dining room. Mrs. Mike Palmer enter tained Sunday with a pinochle party for her husband's birth day. Guests were Mrs. Ken neth Marshall, Mrs. Gell Rhea, Mrs. C.C. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Palmer, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ployhar. Prizes were awarded to Mr. Ployhar, men's high and traveling; Kenneth Palmer, low; Mrs. Rhea, women's high and Mrs. Ployhar, low. William J. Van Winkle is a patient in Pioneer Memorial Hospital. Lucille Mathews, Newport, was a weekend caller at the Bernard Doherty home. She visited with other friends on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Rivin and Vickie Walden, Portland, visited Mrs. Florence McMil lan over the weekend. Other visitors on Sunday were Robin Spriggle and Billy Irvin, Pendleton. Mr. and Mrs. Armin Wihlon, Redmond, were overnight visitors at the C.C. Jones ranch, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Law rence, Toledo, have been recent callers at the Leonard Munkers home. Wednesday evening Wilbur Steagall was honored with surprise birthday dinner by family members. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Crowell of lone. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Brandhagen and family, Pendleton, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Doughtery and family of Heppner, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Steagall and family of Lexington, and Mr. and Mrs. Steagall. Donald Van Winkle, Salem, spent several days last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Van Winkle. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Van Winkle and daughter Theresa, Pendleton, spent several days this week at the William J. Van Winkle home. Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Messen ger were Portland visitors last week at the homes of their sons, Carroll Messenger and Jerry Messenger and their families. Word has been received that Mrs. Lola Breeding is hospi talized at Good Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston. Mrs. Breeding fell at her Irrigon home and broke her hip. S, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sweeney, and friends here on the weekend. They were presented with a wedding gift from the Irrigon Assembly of God during the morning ser vice Sunday. Mrs. ttadholm is the former Carol Jane Wiley. The newlyweda left for Ft. Huachuka, Ariz., Sunday afternoon where he is serving in the Army as a chaplain's assistant. Mrs. Ellen Reeder has returned from a recent trip to Arizona where she visited some of her children. Vera Cooley was called to Oklahoma due to the illness of her mother, Elnora Aborgast. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Judd and family of Salem spent Saturday in Irrigon. They have purchased property from Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bently and plan to make their home here. The American Cancer Mo bile Unit from Portland gave free Pap smear tests to 45 women in Irrigon. Results have now been mailed to each one. Local helpers were Jean- nette Gayman, Eva Anderson. Juanita Ryan and Frances McCoy, who Is the local chairman for the American Cancer Society. Any questions on the cancer program may be addressed to Mrs. McCoy. Mr. and Mrs. Uoyd Berger have returned from a two week vacation through Cen tral Oregon and up the Oregon and Washington coasts. They stopped first at Bend, where they were overnight guests of his niece. When they arrived In Depot Bay they found people lined on the street watching six fishing boats struggling to come in over the bar in rough weather. In Astoria they visited Berger 's brother and his wife. He took them, along with the river pilot, out in the pilot boat on the mouth of the Columbia River. They had to wait for the bar pilot to bring them back to shore. Driving up through Wash ington they crossed the ferry at Edmonds and visited their son in Warm Beach for six days, which they spent fishing and shopping. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schmeder and Pamela were her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Harold rUsh worth of Lawrence, New Zealand, sheep farm opera tors. They had also visited In Europe. Scotland and England before coming to the t'nited States. Mrs. Vida lleliker and J D. Landcaster were honored guests at a birthday dinner held Nov.
