Plans advance for processing plant BOARDMAN-The Port of Morrow Thursday was pre sented with "articles of an agreement to lease" by two firms who plan building a potato processing plant at Boardman. The two firms are Gourmet Food Products, Inc., of Meto lius, Wn., and Techbuilt Corp. of Bellvue, Wn. The agree ments were presented by the two firms on an informal basis, and for the purpose of bonding. The State of Oregon allows bonding up to $5 million, so both firms are involved because the esti mated cost will be $5.4 million. Gourmet Foods and Tech built plan a joint venture to process potatos next year. According to reports, some potato crops are already being contracted by the firms. The agreement is not bind ing until Port officials and the two companies agree on the cost and exact location of the plant.
