Pioneer resident Alonzo Reid dies Irene Anhorn of Central Point was in Heppner recently to take her mother, Mrs. Clara Gertson, to funeral services in Baker for her brother, Alonzo D. Reid. Mr. Reid was the last Reid to have been associated with the pioneer saw mill. Reid's Mill, on Thorn Creek. He also worked in the lumber yard which first stood where the Lois Winchester home now siai.ds.
