PIONFFRPOMtFIUMiS By U.S.( AVF.KIIII.I. ;kvtifyi; approach A statement made h John Burns on his recent trip lo Area r" is craiifvinil- " seems to impK that he supports the idea of helping the small town in ;isiern Oregon grow and thus make better use of our ahund ;nit room, people and travel. This would require a modifica t mm; of his former plan to reduce the number of counties to three. I was alarmed by the possiblity that we might find ourselves in Nez Perce County with La Grande the county seat. It is lire lo know thai he seems to be looking in another direction. Counties should have the right to consolidate but not by compulsion. YOU'RE INVITED I - IIF.PPNFK OHK. CiAZFTTF.-TIMFS. Thundtiy, Boardman Golf Course Busy IH MXHVIFF.
