Death Claims Emma Long A long liine lesiilent of this area died Sunday in Pioneer Memorial Hospital Eninia l-ong was 92 She was born April 28, 1892 in Eight Mile Can on, near Heppner, She had lived here most of her lile. Her husband Charlie pro ceeded her in death in 1970. Survivors include: two sisters, Elorence Rocket and Esther Bergstrom, Heppner; two. brothers. Alfred Bergstrom. Portland and Edwin Berg strom. lone; several nieces and nephews in California and Oi egon. Funeral services were held June 11 in Hope Lutheran Church in Heppner with the Rev Mark Johnson officiating. Vault interment was in Heppner Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Cunningham was Imrn Juno 9. 1881 in County laingfonl, Jack Bailey Passes Jack Bailey, 56, of Independ ence. Ore., was recently found dead of a gunshot wound, believed self-inflicted. He had worked for the Elks Club in Heppner and in Condon and Pendleton. He was moving to Astoria where he was to manage the Elks Club there. He is survived bv his wife. Mabel. He enjoyed golfing on Willow Creek Course with Judge. He was the slate golfer for three consecu tive years in Kansas when he was in high school. A copy of the Advanced First Aid Class Given Dick Sargent has completed instruction in an American Red Cross Advanced First Aid Course. There were 13 in the course for five sessions held at Heppner High School. Those taking the course were nurses and aides, ambulance drivers at Pioneer Memorial Hospital and Kiii.ua people.
