Memorial Hospital
Eninia l-ong was 92 She was
born April 28, 1892 in Eight Mile
Can on, near Heppner, She had
lived here most of her lile.
Her husband Charlie pro
ceeded her in death in 1970.
Survivors include: two sisters,
Elorence Rocket and Esther
Bergstrom, Heppner; two.
brothers. Alfred Bergstrom.
Portland and Edwin Berg
strom. lone; several nieces and
nephews in California and
Oi egon.
Funeral services were held
June 11 in Hope Lutheran
Church in Heppner with the
Rev Mark Johnson officiating.
Vault interment was in Heppner
Masonic Cemetery. Sweeney
Mortuary was in charge of
arrangements.

Jack Bailey Passes
Jack Bailey, 56, of Independ
ence. Ore., was recently found
dead of a gunshot wound,
believed self-inflicted. He had
worked for the Elks Club in
Heppner and in Condon and
Pendleton. He was moving to
Astoria where he was to
manage the Elks Club there. He
is survived bv his wife. Mabel.
