Blue Birds organized at Boardman A new Hlue Birds group has been organized in Boardman with ten grids as members Mrs. Larry Phillips is leader and Mrs. Dan Daltoso is assistant leader. The group will meet each Monday after noon following school at the home of the leaders. The group is sponsored by the Boardman Garden Club. So far the group has planted tulip bulbs in the city park, and put flags on veterans graves in Kiverview Cemetery on Veteran's Day. Members include Cindy Christiansen, Robin Stewart and Jeannie Row of Irrigon, Jeanie Carroll and Dawn Key of Ordnance, and Danette and Helen Daltoso, Ada Davis. Charm McKee and Wendy Mittelsdorf of Boardman. Mr and Mrs Terry Tompkins and sons Mark, Chris and Brian of Stanfield. IT'S A C.IKl. Mr and Mrs Larry Cliffton are the parents of a daughter, Nicole Mane, born Oct. 18 in the Umatilla Hospital. The baby weighed seven pounds, four and a half ounces. Grandparents are Arlene Parker of Longview, Wash., Paul Parker of Toledo. Wash., and Florence Cliffton of Long view. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stephens of Vancouver, Wash. Visitors last week at the home of Pastor and Mrs. Neil King were Mrs. King's father and grandmother, Mr and Mrs Claude Brewster of Bandon. and her aunt, Mrs. James Rogers of Eugene. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mef ford of Portland visited Mef ford's sister. Mrs. Leo Root, last Friday. A Saturday visitor was Mrs. Root's grand son. Maurice Root of Wasco, who is attending Columbia Basin College at Pasco, Wash. Carrol Wilkins of Arlington won the Men's net Sweep stakes at Willow Run golf course Sunday. Members of the family of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Robinson held a reunion Saturday at the Greenfield Grange hall. There were 19 present. They in cluded the Robinsons' sons and daughters-in-law . Mr. and Mrs. Tim Robinson and Lori. Gail and Traci of Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Robinson and son Dale of Powell Butte, and Mr. and Mrs. Art Robinson of LaGrande; their son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hayes of Fossil; and their granddaughter and family. Greenfield Grange met Saturday afternoon at the hall. They voted to have future meetings at 4 p.m. with potluck supper following the meeting. This will be through March. Members who later went to lone to visit Willows Grange included Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ball. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Baker, Mrs. Tom Harrison. Mrs. W.G.Seehafer, Hazel Carpenter, Mrs. Arthur Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Thorpe and Andrew Skiles. FIVE TABLES of pinochle were in play at the card party held Tuesday of last week at the Greenfield Grange hall, sponsored by the Women's Activity Committee of the grange. High prize went to Jessie Hartfield of Arlington, and second high to Mrs. Verne Minnich. Mrs Sam Beeks of Arlington and Mrs. Arthur Allen received the traveling pinochle prizes.
