Assiting Mrs. King were Mrs. Pete Peterson, who served the coffee, Mrs. Frank Marlow serving tea, and Mrs. Larry Phillips at the punch bowl. 18 men attended the no host breakfaft held b the Board man Community Church at the Dodge City Inn Saturday morning. Gene Le win spoke to the group. DEN ONE OF PACK 6G7 cub scouts held a den meeting last week at the home of Mrs. Jerry Feck, then went to a joint meeting at Htrmiston with the CubScout Pack there at the West Park Elementary School. Accom panying the boys were Rod Flug, pack master, Jerry Peck, Mrs. John Harvey, Mrs. Gene Trumbull and Mrs. Peck. J.MR. AND MRS. CHESTER. Phillips and son DeanofMon rnouth are here for the vaca tion week visiting at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Peterson. Philips is a student at OCE' Other college students home for the spring vacation are Diane Black from E.O.C. at LaGrande, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Fossey and daughter from Corvallis, Pan Kuhn and Jody Tatotie from L'. of O., Eugene, and Bob Skoubo and Albert Phillips from Blue Mountain. PIRATES It was anybody's game, the first baseball game of the season for the Riverside Pirates Friday afternoon when they plaved the Uma tilla Vikings. At the seventh inning the score stood at 6-6. The next score came in the 10th inning when L'matilla scored again. Rick Partlow led Riverside hitters with a double and a triple, Ron Baker a couple of doubles and Don Harper two singles. On Saturday the Pirates played a double header with Heppner. Heppner won the first game 9-8 and Riverside won a four-inning 2nd game 3-1. In this game TonyBarnhart led the Pirate hitters with a double and a single. David Richards connected for a triple and Rick Partlow a double. Steve Rhea passed out a couple of singles to lead the Mustang hitters. Rick Drake added a three-run double and John Boyer knocked a triple. JAY COX of Hood River were visitors last Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ball. THERE WERE FIVE TAB LES of pinochle in play at the card party held Tuesday of last week at the Green field Grange hall, sponsored by the Women's Activity-Corn-mittee of the grange. Mrs. W.G. Seehafer was hostess. High prize was won by Jes sie Hartfield of Arlington, and low went to Rose Gilmore of A rlinpton. Mrs. Walter Wyss and Mrs. I.M. Docken re ceived the traveling pinochle prizes. ARE ALL INVITED !!! A big pancake supper is to be held Saturday night at Rhea Creek Grange at Ruggs. Serv ing will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This will be followed by pinochle and bin go. Proceeds from the bfg events go to community chari ties. Delicious ham is being served with the meals. Pastor Wesley Cronk of the Assembly of G d Church was in charge of the opening service and led the group singing accom panied by Mrs. Al Partlow on the accordlan. A GOOD CROWD turned out for the Easter Parade, in Irrigon, Sat., which was a huge success. All child ren participating In the parade were given a choco late rabbit. Easter eggs were hidden In various fields for the different age groups, from pre-school to fifth grade. Mr. and Mrs. Tom W.'lson have returned to their lump in Irrigon after spending the winter nnnths in Phoe nix, Ariz. M -s. Guy Parke (Janet) of Portland spent the Easter holiday with her parents, Mr. and M. S. E.A. Stephens. Mr. and M s. Gene Berg and Ronald .if Vancouver, Wa. were Easter guests of M and Mrs. Al Partlow and Sheryl. Mr. and Mrs. Pantelis Vrontakis and sons of Salem, were visitors on Easter at the home of her parents, Mr. and M:s. Harvey Warner. M -. and M.'s. Don Adams spent several days at the Oregon Coast, during Spring vacation from School. At the Walla WMla Com mi nity College rodeo in Day ton, W'i. B?cky won the bar rel racing and placed in goat typing. Her point total gave her. the woman's champion- , ship. B.M.
