Granite from this behemoth has been used In all the state cap- itols and the Panama Canal. We took the train ride around tho base and the tram to the ton. from this breath taking spot. we could see 20 or more towns. Atlanta 20 miles : away has a beautiful skyline with its high buildings. Enroute back to Atlanta we saw some gorgeous million -dollar es tates: une nomfr was- nuut on one-fourth of an acre that cost! $65,000. Wow! She has started her 4-H club and has a few more spaces for additional mem bers if anyone else would like to join. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Max Breeding and children of Gresham, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wilson of Umarilla, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Steers, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Ayers, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wilson and family, Grace Buschke, Alice Hastings, Lydial Wilson, Clyde Cox and Lola Breeding. A very enjoyable evening was pent with a special highlight. Mrs. Wilson had 12 of her 13 grandchildren together at one time. One of the joys of the season is the opportunity to put aside the routine and customs of every day business and in real sincerity wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
