F. Rucker, who have purchased the Bert Overbaugh home. Boat Ramp Cleared Contractor Del Brown of Her miston cleared sand from the boat, ramp in the Community park this week. Because of sev eral . periods of severe wind, coupled with a high river level, an unusual amount- of sand was carried into the ramp area and boat basin. Although a temporary meas ure, this work will enable launching of pleasure craft un til corrective measures are tak en by the Corps of Engineers to eliminate the sand accumu lation. This Is tentatively sched uled to be done this fall. Receives Head Injury Bill, 12 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Griffin, was hos pitalized for observation at the Umatilla hospital Wednesday evening when he received a head injury while playing foot ball with a group of boys. Al though the injury did not prove to be extremely serious it may deprive the winning B & I Cubs of a valuable player for a game or two. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Feger, dau ghter and son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Lee LeBlanc visited sever al days in Irrigon enroute to attend summer school In Corval lis. Mr. Feger taught the past year in Richland, Wash. Little League Columbia Little League scores for the week saw Stanfield Hard ware win over the B & I Bomb ers 10 to 6 and the B & I Bob cats drop a game to the B & I Bombers 16 to 20. A game be tween Umatilla and the B & I Bobcats was postponed. In the Major League the B & I Cubs edged out Umatilla 4 to 3 and lost a game to HI Ho of Stanfield 3 to 1.
