C. Carmichael In Heppner for their regular meet ing. Those present were Mrs. Gene Cutsforth, Mrs. Johnnie Ledbetter, Mrs. Bob Davidson, Mrs. Dean Hunt, Mrs. Mervin Leonard, Mrs. Elden Padberg, Mrs. Lester Cox and Mrs. Sadie Parrish. Prizes were won by Mrs. Ledbetter high, Mrs. Cuts forth low, and Mrs. Cox second high. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Messenger and children, and Carroll Mes senger and Norita Marquardt of Portland were recent visitors in Lexington and attended the fun eral services of an aunt, Mrs. Gillespie in Boardman. The Amicitia Club met for their regular meeting at the home of Mrs. O. W. Cutsforth. Members present were Mrs. Rog er Campbell, Mrs. Bob David son, Mrs. Bob Lovgren, Mrs. El den Padberg, Mrs. Mel Boyer, Mrs. Roy Martin, Mrs. Gene Cole and the hostess Mrs. Cutsforth. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Schmidt and family of The Dalles have been recent visitors at the Mel Boyer home. Mrs. Venice Hendrickson and daughter Mrs. Ann Stuart were recent Portland visitors. Mrs. Stuart and infant daughter are living in Lexington with her mother, Mrs. Hendrickson while her husband is stationed in Alaska. Mrs. Mervin Leonard was hostess to a bridge party hon oring Mrs. Elden Padberg on her birthday Monday. Those present were, Mrs. Wm. J. Van Winkle, Mrs. Dean Hunt, Mrs. Johnnie Ledbetter, Mrs. Lester Cox, Mrs. Art atkins, Mrs. C. C. Carmichael. A birthday cake was enjoyed. In Spokane Mrs. Cleo VanWinkle spent the Christmas holidays in Spo kane with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred VanWink le. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Davidson were Portland visitors the first of last week. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Davidson over Christmas were their children, a son and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Davidson and sons of Portland and a dau ghter Mr. and Mrs. John Flint of Gresham and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Viall and children of Lex ington. Spurlock Family Gathers Here Members of the Spurlock family who gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Edger following graveside serv ices at Heppner for Milton Spur lock, brother of Mrs. Edger were: Mrs. Milton Spurlock, Mildred Ozment and son, Ron; Dorothy Withers, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon C. Brown, all of Pendleton; Mr. and Mrs. Duane Johnson and sons, Lakeview; Mr. and Mrs. Duane Gentry, The Dalles; Mrs. Gladys Hutchinson, Ava, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gentry and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brown and sons, all of Heppner. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Becker, Mike, Gard and Christopher ar rived from Gold Beach Tuesday of last week to spend a few days visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heard. Mr. Becker, JV coach at Gold Beach has had a successful all win season so far.
