Royal Arch to Host District Convention A district convention of Dis trict No. 2. Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Orecon, will be held In the Heppner Masonic Temple on Wednesday, October 22. starting at 6:30 p.m. The district is composed of The Dalles Chapter No. 6; Pen dleton Chapter No. 23, and Heppner Chapter No. 26, with Heppner members as hosts. HiKhllght of the evening will be the official visitation of Mast Kxcellent Companion Paul W. Jones. Grand High Priest of Grand Chapter Royal Arch Mas ons of Oregon, and the mem bers of his official family. Under the direction of Her man Winter. Excellent High Priest of Heppner Chapter No. 26, a full program is planned for the evening. A large attend ance of members from District No. 2 Is expected. Attending were Mrs. VI Lan ham. Mrs. Lenna Smith. Mrs. i-i i i no Cnnran. Mrs. Jovce John. ,son. Mrs. Joan HuRhes, Mrs. Et ta Parker, Mrs. Justine Weath erford. Mrs. Eleanor Gonty, and Mrs. Ola Mae Groshens. The Heppner club served as one of the host clubs, and the club president, Mrs. Lanham. ex tended the official welcome at the Saturday evening banquet. Mrs. George gave her re- Siewerts Return From Hawaii Trip Mr. and Mrs. Bill Siewert and daughters, Barbara and Jean of Seattle have returned from a two week vacation trip to Ha waii. The Siewerts visited sev eral of the islands and spent some time sight-seeing in Hono lulu. Founder's Day. in observance of the organization's 48th anni versary, will be this Thursday. Initiation is planned for two new members. Plans are underway to enter tain 6th, 7th and 8th grade youngsters at a teenage dance on Halloween night. UN Youth Committee Plan Coming Contest a mAAiinar of District Area 16. United Nation Youth committee for Rebekah and Odd Fellow lodges, held Sunday in Pendle ton, was attended by five mem bers from Heppner and Lexing ton. Topic for the 1970 U. On the recent field trip to Bull Prairie for Heppner Ele mentary students, a contest was held to see who could get the most mileage from a Tootsie Roll Pop. October 16. 1969 I Wranglers Plan Buckburger Feed Plans for the annual Buck burger Feed were discussed at the Wrangler meeting held Oct ober 7. The date of the dinner was set for October 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds. This is a potluck dinner with the buck burgers to be furnished by the Wranglers. All Wrangler members are urged to attend and friends are Invited. Those attending are asked to bring salad, vegeta bles or dessert. Officers who will serve for the yera are Miss Pat Cassidy, pres ident; Mrs. Hughes, vice-president, and Mrs. Elwayne Bergs trom, secretary. This unit will meet the first Tuesday of each month at the Heppner Neighborhood Center. At the next meeting, Novem ber 4, the lesson on "New Paint Products" will be taught by Mrs. Bergstrom.
