FARMER OWNED AND CONTROLLED Lexington, Oregon Lifeless Mustangs Lose to DeSales By PAT KILKENNY In Satnrdav niuht's basket ball action the Heppner High Mntanr dronned their third game of the season in a 5fi;50 breathtaker to tne uesaies insn at Walla Walla. The Irish were led by Jim Volz who scored 20 points on 7 fielders and six for eight from the free throw line. The Mustang squad seemed lifeless for the first three frames, but caught fire in the fourth quarter when, led by John Mc Cabe with 10 tallies, they cut scored the Irish 18-11. The game was tied briefly at 50-50 but the Irish then ran off and left the Mustangs, whose playing was more lackluster than in any other game so far this season. They seemed a bit weary after the long week-end to Enterprise and back to Wal la Walla. High scorers for the Horsemen were John McCabe and Cal Ash beck with 15 tallies each, and Jon O'Donnell, with 8. Scoring: HEPPNER 5U Charlie's Shoe House 5"? 5?. E.
