C. Jones for Its reg ular meeting and luncheon. Plans were made for the Christ mas activities of Holly lodge and the club. Mrs. Oris Pad berg won the door prize. Those present were Mrs. A. F. Majeske. Mrs. Florence McMil lan. Mrs. Wayne Papineau, Mrs. Frank Robinson, Mrs. Ralph Burcham, Mrs. Archie Munkcrs. Mrs. Oris Padberg and Mrs. Joel Engleman. Archie Munkcrs is a patient In Community Hospital In Pen dleton, having undergone sur gerey there last week. Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Breed ing and sons, Dale and Donald, and Mrs. Birdie Cavin of Port land were week-end visitors at the C. C. Jones ranch. Herbert Davidson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Davidson, who is stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash., was a recent week-end visitor at the home of his parents. Mike Burcham, stationed with the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Rogers, is visiting his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Burcham for the holidays. Myrtle Marshall Is a patient in Pioneer Memorial hospital in Heppner. Miss Linda VanWinkle, dau ghter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. VanWinkle, who is employed in the teaching system of San Francisco, Calif., is spending the holidays with her parents. Mike Burcham received med ical attention in Heppner on Saturday from injuries received in a car-train accident at the crossing in Lexington, when the car he was driving was struck by the train. Mrs. John Ledbetter entertain ed the Lexington Bridge club at her home one day last week. Those present were Mrs. Mervin Leonard, Mrs. Elden Padberg, Mrs. Bob Davidson, Mrs. Gene Cutsforth, Mrs. Lester Cox, Mrs. C. C. Carmichael, Mrs. Dean Hunt, and the hostess. As this was the Christmas meeting, the hostess had her home beauti fully decorated and served buf fet type refreshments. Prizes were won by Mrs. Hunt, high, and Mrs. Padberg, second high. Mr. and Mrs. William J. Van Winkle and family visited over the week-end in Mt. Vernon with Mrs. VanWinkle's mother, Mrs. Lowry, and a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lowry. Mrs. Mervin Leonard enter tained with a birthday card par ty honoring Mrs. Elden Padberg on her birthday Saturday. Those present were Mrs. Padberg, Mrs, John Ledbetter, Mrs. Dean Hunt, Mrs. William J. VanWinkle, Mrs. Art Watkins, Mrs. C. C, Carmichael, Mrs. Bob Davidson nd the hostess. Birthday cake and cotlee were served. Mr. and Mrs. Art Watkins had Christmas party on Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. John Ledbetter, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hunt, and Mrs. Mervin Leonard as guests. Mervin Leonard is in the Wil lamette Valley where he is vis iting his mother. She has been recent patient in a Eugene hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Greg Leyva were Lexington callers over the week-end from their home in Hood River. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Orwick have been confined to their home with illness. They have been consulting a physician in Fendleton this week. Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Miller of La Grande visited their son Earl, overnight on Tuesday of last week.
