Plans were made to send a lxix of gifts to the Oreiton State Hospital. linns should be brought to Grange on December 15 or left at Dels Market In Lexiniiton where there will be a Ihix prepared. Refreshments were served to Mrs. Florence McMillan, Mrs. Nora Turner, Mrs. Martha Van S hoiack, Mrs. C. C. Jones, Mrs. Ernest C'hrlstopherson, Mrs. Fred Nelson. Mrs. Vernon Mun kers. Mrs. Kenneth Smouse and son Carl. Mrs. Ella Burjroyne an'l the hostess. The next meeting will be De comber 19 at the C. C. Jones home. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Steagall were Pendleton callers on Thursday of last week. Debbie Majeske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Majeske, spent thff week-end In Pendle ion where she visited her sis ter, Glnuer, who attends school there. Three Links Club met at the home of Mrs. Joel Knifeman In lone, plans were further made for the bazaar and food sale to be In Heppner, Saturday, Decem ber 7, which will feuture fancy work, aprons and homemade pastries. Also, it wus decided to donate articles to the Oregon Stale hospiial and are to be left at Del's Market or brought to lili;e on December 5. Refresh ments were served to Mrs. Flor ence McMillan. Mrs. A. F. Ma jeske, Mrs. C. C. Jones, Mrs. Annie Ketne, Mrs. Archie Mun kers and Mrs. Joe Yocom by the hostess, Mrs. Enfilemun. Mrs. Joe Yocom is a patient In Pioneer Memorial hospital. having minor surgery there on Monday mornlne- Mrs. A. F. Majeske Is spend ne some time at the home of her son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wright, and family in Twin Falls, Ida ho. Mrs. Majeske Is caring for the sons of the Wrights while thev and their small daughter are In Portland where they are shopping for a new home. Mr. Wright has been transferred from his job In Twin Falls to Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Brock and Mr. anil Mrs. Joel Entile man were among those attend Ing the Pacific Supply meeting recently In Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Vaughan and children of Monument were callers at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oris Padberg, on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nelson, Mrs Marlhu VanSeholack and Mn. Florence McMillan attended the C hurch Day and Booster Day program of Greenfield Grunge on Sunday. A lovely dinner was enjoyed at noon, with the pro gram following. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Marquardl and family were Boardman vis itors on Sunday where the fam ily participated in part of the Grange program there. Mrs. Florence McMillan spent a couple of days last week in Pendleton at Ihe home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bub Cool, and family. Mrs. Bob Davidson underwent minor surgery at a hospiial in Portland last Monday. She vis ited her son-in-law and daugh ter. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Flint, and family, for the remainder of the week, with the Flints bringing her home. Mr. David son returned home last Wednes day. Holly Rebekah Lodge met for Its regular meeting on Thursday- night of last week with Noble Grand Kuih Kobinson presiding. Preceding me meeting, a pot- luck turkey dinner was enlov ed. At the meeting an election of officers was held, with the following taking office: Mrs. Wayne l Donna ) Papineau, no ble grand; Mrs. Ralph I Doro thy! It was an nounced that the birthday par ty honoring those wiih birth days will be held the first meet ing In December and a Christ mas program and treats for all will be held the last meeting In December, which will be De cember 18 because of Ihe Christ mas programs in the schools on the 19th. The Christmas program will be open to the public at 7:30 p.m. Christian Mens Fellowship held a breakfast meeting Sun day, November 17, with IS members present Rev. Earl Soward spoke on the topic. The entire NBC-TV "Get Smart " crew was aboard the carrier for a two-day filming session. Scheduled to be "air ed" In early December, the slorv centers around the two week active dulv tours of Ihe "chief" and "86". During (he episode, "Out of CONTROL," many Yorktown crewmen ure seen at their Jobs.
