Mary Jane has been attending school la Tishomingo and was graduated there recently. She will be re turning to Oklahoma soon for her wedding to Michael Mclver of Tishomingo. The regular meeting of the Camp 5 Women Club was held last Wednesday with vice-president Ruth Jordan in charge Mrs. Jordan was also the hostess for the evening. Six members and one visitor, Mrs. Terry TodX were present Flans were made to have a community card par ty on June 17 with Pat an Arsdale and Ruth Jordan as hostesses. The door prize for the evening went to Ruth Jordan and prizes for pinochle went to Pat Van Arsdale for high, low and pinochle to Eva DeMeritt and the second pinochle to Lola FerreL Mrs. Frank DeMeritt and Mrs. Earl Norris were in Heppner last Thursday on business and med ical care for Eva. Cooper pointed out that work still remained to be accomplish ed on the interchanges but these will have temporary at grade connections with the free way. He said the Highway De partment was anxious to make the new section of the Interstate system available to the motor ing public rather than wait for the completed package. The in terchanges will be opened as they are completed, and the en tire project is expected to be completed late this summer. Opening of this lL14-mile stretch of the east-west Inter state system through Oregon means that 243.07 miles, or ap proximately 65 percent of the system Is completed. Work is moving ahead on the other sec tions, and it is expected that work on I-80N will be finished on schedule. Work on this par ticular section of I-80N was started on March 3L 1966. Mrs. B, D.
