Reporta of th various fall activities were heard. At this Urn It was decided to have a card party on Satur day. January 18. with the pro reeds to go to the United Na tlons Pilgrimage, one of the sev eral activities that Kt-bakahs help to finance. Following the mee ting a game was plaved with Mrs. Gene Cole winning the prize. Refreshments were then served to Mrs. Joe Yocom. Mrs. Gene Cole. Mrs. Charles Col ley. Mrs. Alonzo llcnderaon. Mr. Frank Robinson. Mrs. Lou Broadley. Mrs. Bertha Hunt. Mrs. Florence McMillan. Mrs. A. F. Majeske. and the hoMe, Mrs. Jones, all of Lexington, and a guest, Mrs. Clell Rea of lone. Mrs. Cole was winner of the door prize for the afternoon. Mrs. Bertha Hunt has gone to Beavcrton where she will spend some time helping care for the children of Mr. and Mrs. Don aid Hunt while Mrs. Hunt Is 111. Home Ke club of Lexington Grange T26 was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hunt last Thursday afternoon. This was the regular meeting and Christmas party. A report from Mrs. Florence McMillan was heard concerning the box of gifts taken to the State Hospit al In Pendleton.- and a financial report concerning the recent turkey dinner was also heard.1 Gifts were given those having birthdays during the last three months. After this a Christmas gift exchange was greatly en joyed. The ladies voted to have secret sisters for the coming year, and names and dates were drawn. Ref re s h m e n t s were served to Mrs. Nora Turner, Mrs. Pearl Scott of Heppner. Mrs. Km ma Breshears, Mrs. Wilbur Stea gall, Mrs. Florence McMillan, Mrs. A. F. Majeske, Mrs. C. C Jones, Mrs. Alonzo Henderson and hostess. Mrs. Ed Hunt, all of Lexington, and Mrs. Ella Bur goyne, Mrs. Kenneth Smouse and son Carl of lone. Joint Installation Planned Holly Rebekah Lodge met last Thursday night at its hall in Lexington starting with a pot luck Christmas dinner. Follow ing the meeting of the men and women a gift exchange was en joyed, and coffee was served. During the meeting it was de cided to do away with the pres ident's coin "drill which takes place each meeting, replacing It with one a year and send the money to the President's Fund. It was announced that there would be joint installation with lone in January, preceded bv a potluck dinner at the Lexington hall. Cards to the Lexington boys in the service were signed bv both OddFellows and Rebek ahs. A letter from the state sec retary telling all Rebekah lodg es that they must charge a min imum of $5.00 a year for dues was read, this means that all dues to Holly Lodge will be $5.00, starting January 1. Mrs. Bob Davidson and son Herb were Pendleton visitors one day this week. Miss Leora VanWinkle Is vis iting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William J. VanWinkle from her school at Blue Mountain Col lege. The Amicitia Club met for its Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Roger Campbell on Wed nesday of last week. There was an exchange of gifts. The fol lowing ladies won prizes, Mrs. Bob Lovgren, high; Mrs. Wm. J. VanWinkle, low; Mrs. O. W, CuLsforth and Mrs. Roy Martin, door prizes. Besides those win ning prizes, those present were Mrs. Al Fetsch, Mrs. Bob David son, Mrs. Gene Cole and the hostess, Mrs. Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. llass Ing of Condon are announcing the birth of a third son. John Sylvester, on Sunday, December 19. He weighed 3 lb.. 9' oz.. and joins two brothers and one sister. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Caufman of Condon are welcoming their first child, a son. born Sunday, December 19. Weighing 6 lb., 13' oz.. he has been named John Vernon. Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Blazek of Fossil became parents of their first child on Sunday, Deember 19. He has been named Shawn Brian, and at birth weighed' 9 lb.. 2'i oz. A second daughter was born to Mr. and Mr. Merle E. Smith of Condon on Tuesday. Decem ber 21. weighing 6 lb.. 7 oz. She has been named Tina LouNe, and joins a family of two broth ers and one sister. eight weeks of advanced Indi vidual training. Miss Jill Padberg was host ess to the 411 knitting and clothing club at her home on Saturday afternoon for the reg ular meeting and Christmas party. Those present were Mona Marshall. Kay Huson.
