Mrs. Bert Darnielle of Grants Pass who is visiting her. The afternoon was spent in renewing acquain tances and visiting. Those pres ent were Mrs. Eldon Padberg, Mrs. Bob Davidson. Mrs. Wil liam J. Van Winkle. Mrs. A. F. Majeske, Mrs- Florence McMil lan, and Mrs. Alonzo Henderson. Mrs. Jessie Man ley of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Florie Haller ol Elslnore, Calif., returned to their homes after visiting a sis ter, Mrs. Alene Calvin, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Klinger and family. Lexington residents were sorry to hear of the hospitalization of Judy Ledbetter, small daughter of Mr- and Mrs. Johnnie Led better. at Pioneer Memorial hos pital, where she underwent ma jor surgery on Sunday. Mrs. Johnnie Ledbetter was also an overnight patient at the hospital on Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. J. Navy at Portland Septem ber 17. with the rating of Sea man Recruit. Bill attended lone High school. He made application for enlist ment at the Pendleton Recruit ing station and was processed for enlistment by Dick Artman, Navy recruiter. Shortly after receiving the oath. Bill left Portland for San Diego.
