Athletic Director Pete Glennie who called Wednesday to tell about the games said that all boys performed remarkably well in the tournament. After downing Heppner, Phoe nix smacked Myrtle Point in con solation action, 86 to 53. If com parative scores mean anything, this would tend to indicate that the Mustangs hit the tough bracket in the tourney, but even so gave their opponents full measure of basketball. Dayton went on to shellack Reedsport, 71 to 58, to gain the champion ship game against Pleasant Hill.
