Kil kenny hurled the win and help ed his cause with a home run blast in the fifth inning. Wat kins took the loss on the mound for the Braves. Del Yin Morteson underwent surgery Monday morning at sc. Anthony's hospital in Pendleton. The surgery was performed on his left foot that was injured in a logging accident last month. He expects to be released from the hospital this week end. It doesn't start until August 24, at Atlantic City, New Jersey. THERE ARE times when Carl McDaniel doesn't know whether he is the hunter or the hunted. His work as a govern ment hunter takes him to the sands in the northern part .of the county sometimes. He was uo there the other day looking for coyotes when the windstorm came up. Carl said that he fig urde most of the tands are now in the state of Washington having been blown there by the storm. Once in a while he gets near the bomb range when toe jets come swishing in. He is there by official permission, of course, but he is on his own responsi bility as far as the bombers are concerned. J. C teller, pastor of the Heppner azarene Ch-rneh-Ee.1 and Mrs. Wrller and family attended the threeaay esslon. and the Ralph Crum tamllv. also of the Heppner church, was present for the feun dav morning service. Attending were representatives from every state plus many for eign mission fields. Five general superintendents were reeiecreo. and a sixth general supermten dent was elected to fill a vac ancy. Decision was made to es tablish two Junior colleges and a Bible school ln addition to the six colleges and the seminary now in existence. The business session was ex tended one day in order to com plete the calendar.
