The bride is the former June Frances Hudspeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bray of Hermiston. (Throckmorton Photo) June Hudspeth Bride Of Arthur Lindstrom The; marriage of June Francos Hudspeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bray of Hermiston to Arthur A. Lindstrom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin P. Lind strom, lone, was solemnized at the Urst Methodist church in Hermiston Sunday, September 9, at 3 p. m. The double ring cere mony was performed by the Rev. Eugene JIamblem. Decorating the altar were tall baskets of apricot and white gladioli. Given in marriage by her fath er, the bride chose to wear a light blue chiffon street length dress, fashioned with fitted cumber bund. She wore a white blush veil and carried a bridal cascade of white rosebuds placed on a white prayer book. Matron of honor was Mrs. Mary Ballance, sister of the bride. Her dress was of light ap ricot taffeta and she carried a bouquet of white gladioli shaped in a cresent. The nuptial music was played by Ella Mae Watson and accom panied Dan Follett, vocalist. Candlelighlcrs were Sandy Sires and Trudie Ritchie. Best man was Hoy A. Lind strom, brother of the groom Ushers were John and Tom Bray, brothers of the bride, and Jim Ballance, brother-in-law of the bride. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Bray wore a brown silk ensemble, with brown accessories and a pink carnation and rose bud corsage. Mrs. Lindstrom, mother of the groom, chose a blue knit costume, with white accessories and wore a pink orchid and rosebud corsage. The couple was greeted at a reception in rooms decorated with garden dahlias and asters. Alter the ncwiyweds cut the first piece of wedding cake, it was ser ved by Mrs. Doris Bounds and Edith Saylen, with Theresa Busey assisting. At the coffee serviw was Lois Moon, and Cathie Hoggins served the punch. Passing the guest book was Leota Traniel and helping at the gift table were Mrs. Bar bara Watkins and daughter Judy and Mrs. Norma Maffic and daughter Ann. The couple left on a wedding trip to Seattle. For going away the new Mrs. Lindstrom wore an ensemble of white satin brocade sheath dress with white fur cuffs, white accessories and white rosebud corsage. They are making their home in lone where Mr. Lindstrom is em ployed in wheat and cattle ranching. Out-of-town guests attended from Seattle, Portland, lone, I'endleton, Heppner and Walla Walla. From lone were Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Lindstrom, parents oi me groom, Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Lindstrom, brother of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Roy W Lindstrom and family, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lindstrom, Mrs. Lola Wilson, Carl and John Troedson, Mr. and Mrs, Vomer Troedson, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lundell, Mrs. Anne Lindstrom, grand mother of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hynd and Carol Sue of Cecil. Vawter Parker, attorney at Hood River, was an overnight guest at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs. Frank S. Parker recently. Mr. Parker was attend ing to legal matters at the coun ty courthouse while here. Mrs. Ruth Bailey, Arcadia, (alif., arrived Thursday for a stay willi her sister ami family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Valentine. She lelt for her home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Smith and daughter, Wichita, Kans., and Mrs. C. C. Biassl'ield, Paleo, Kans., visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lovd Burkenbine and family this week on their wav lrom the Worlds Fair and will leave Friday for their home. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Burkenbine are sisters and Mrs. Ilrasslield is their mother. Mr. and Mrs. Lou Drake are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Marion Hayden anil other relatives this week. (M PACIFIC NORTHWEST BELL Lodge Discusses Fall Convention By DELPHA JONES LEXINGTON Holly Rebekah Lodge discussed plans for the dis trict convention in October when the group met last Thursday evening for their regular meet ing. Noble Grand Bernice Wihlon presided. Six members of San Souci Rebekah lodge were guests tor tne evening. Cards were sent to members who were ill. A so cial hour closed with refresh ments. Lexington residents are re minded of the card party at the IOOF hall on October 6.' At this time the contest will begin for the high prizes over six month's playing. Prizes and refreshments are planned for each party. Those attendine the Ralnh Ledbetter services in Pendleton on Thursday were Mr. and Mrs Kenneth Marshall and Mrs. Florence McMillan. Mrs. Florence McMillan spent tne week-end in Baker and Cove at the Fred Bristow home. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wright ana sons ot Portland were week end visitors with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. A. F. Maieske. Mrs. L. E. Peck and children Keith and Joyce motored to i'endleton on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Ledbetter returned on Friday from N. Caro lina where they had vacationed with friends and relatives. Mr. Ledbetter's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Bergen Ledbetter of Heppner, accompanied t'hem on the trip Those attending the Iowa and Oregon State football game from Lexington were Mr. and Mrs L. E. Van Winkle ac companied her son and daugh ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Van Winkle to Portland, where she visited her sister and broth er-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilcox, who were both recently injured in a car accident. The High School class of the Lexington Sunday school enjoy ed roller skating in Kennewick on Friday night. Those going over with the teachers Mr. and Mrs. Carl Marquardt were Kenny Jones, Billy Klinger, Dick Wall ace, Theresa Munkers and Joyce Peck. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Marquardt and Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Messen per, Sr., of Mitchell were in Seat tle for a tour of the World's Fair last week. Miss Myrtle McCarl, Mrs. Mor ris McCarl ond Mrs. Bertha Hunt were in The Dalles on Thursday. Gerald Messenger is a patient in Community hospital in Pend leton where he underwent major surgery one day last week.
